For the next few days Mira was growing strong in her abilities and lightsaber skills. She was almost as good as Ezra when he younger, but she still had a long way to go.

Today, Ezra and Ahsoka brought Mira out to the grass plains. They wanted to training that involved using the Force and lightsaber skills together. Ezra placed a crate of bottles on the ground. "Okay Mira, you've been doing well in lightsaber training and Force Training, now comes the next step. When in battle, the Force isn't used for offense, but defense. To protect yourself or protect others. Lift up one of the bottles in the air with the Force." Ahsoka said. Mira nodded and used the Force to lift one of the bottles in the air. "Good. Now protect it."

Just as she said that, Ezra ignited his lightsaber and cut the bottle in half at quick speed. Mira looked shocked. "That was fast." She said in a nervous tone. "A lot of enemies are going to be fast. You need to use your instincts and determine when an attack it coming. Try again." Ahsoka said. Mira nodded and lifted another bottle with the Force. Once she was ready she waited to see if her father was going to attack again but it never came. She was about to ask if he was going to attack again only to get distracted by her thoughts letting Ezra slice the bottle in half. "Always keep your guard up. An enemy will always attack when you least expect. Try again." Ezra said.

For five hours Mira tried to use the Force to anticipate when Ezra was going to strike up everytime she failed and she was getting frustrated. Ezra and Ahsoka could tell. After another hour, Mira a grunt and walked away. Ezra and Ahsoka looked at each other concerned. "Let's just take a break today." Ahsoka said. "Yeah. I'll go talk to her." Ezra said and walked off.

Mira sat on top of a rock overlooking the grassy plains in front of her. She felt frustrated at herself for not being able to use the Force more properly like Ahsoka and Ezra. She can meditate all she can but still can't get the control she needs. She feels like she's letting her father down this way.  She heard footsteps from behind her and turned her head and saw her father walking to her. Ezra sat down on the rock next to her. "I don't understand it. I'm good at lightsaber skills but I can't control the Force like you and Ahsoka can." Mira said frustrated.

"Mira, using the Force isn't about control, it's about concentration. It's okay if you can't do it just like that. I wasn't that good either but in time I learned. It takes time to learn this kind of stuff. You're still doing good." Ezra said and Mira nodded. "Come on. The sun's going down. We'll try again tomorrow." He added patting her head and getting up. "I don't want to be just good. I want to be better." Mira muttered to herself as she followed her father back to the Ghost.

Later that night

Mira was wide awake laying in Ezra's old room. She couldn't sleep due to her frustration from earlier. She didn't know what to do about her Force problems. No matter how many times she can meditate she can't figure out how to use it to her benefit. She groan in frustration just thinking about it.

Then while she was deep in frustration she heard a faint howl in her head making her sit up. She looked around the room until she heard another faint howl in her head. She slowly got out of the bunk and left the room looking for the source of the sound.

Mira walked outside the Ghost and looked around but saw nothing. She was about to go back inside until she heard the faint howl again in the distance. She quickly turned her head to see a figure on all fours on a hill in the distance with yellow eyes. Mira squinted her eyes but still couldn't make out what she was looking at. Then the figure disappeared behind the hill. Mira ran towards the hill to try and follow the figure.

Once Mira got to the hill she saw the shadow of figure now down the hill. Mira followed the figure down the hill as the figure stopped moving. Mira was finally able to get a good look at the figure and it was smaller than she thought it was. Almost her height but smaller. Once the moonlight touched the figure Mira saw it was a small black wolf. Mira looked down at the wolf as she tilted her head. The wolf did the same looking up at her. Mira kneeled down to the wolf extending her hand out. "Hey boy, you lost?" She asked. The wolf leaned it's head forward and sniffs her hand. Before it could leaned it's head further, it suddenly backed up. Mira heard soft growls behind her and turned around to see a larger white wolf looking down at her. Mira gasped as she backed up as the white wolf slowly approached her letting out soft growls. Mira heard footsteps behind her and saw three other wolves behind her.

Before the wolves could come closer, someone jumped in front of Mira. Mira looked up to see her father standing in front of her with his hand in front of him. "D-Dad?" "Mira, stay calm and relax. Don't make any quick movements." Ezra said as he turned his attention to the white wolf.

"Hey, boy, remember me?" He said. The white wolf made another soft growling noise as it came closer. "Yeah, you remember me right?" Ezra asked. The white wolf leaned it's head closer to Ezra's hand slowly pressed it's head against his palm. "There we go." Ezra said petting the wolf. Mira slowly approached her father. "It's okay. Stick your hand out and let him come to you." Ezra told her. Mira slowly raised her hand up to the wolf and stood still waiting for the wolf to approach her. The white wolf leaned it's head down and sniffed Mira's hand before pressing it's nose into her hand. "Whoa." Mira said as she rubbed the wolf's nose.

"What kind of animals are these?" Mira asked. "They're called Loth-Wolves. They've been around for many years. Some people believe they went extinct. But they were just in hiding." Ezra told her. "I heard them howling in my head. It's like they were calling to me. Leading me here." Mira said. "Loth-Wolves have a deep connection to the Force. It's more focused than other animals. They can do things far beyond anything we know." Ezra said.

The small black Loth-Wolf walked up to Mira looking up at her. Mira kneeled down to it's height and pet it's head. The small Loth-Wolf leaned into her touch making Mira smiled as she look up to her father. "This one's cute." She said as the Loth-Wolf rubbed its head under her chin making her giggle. As Mira looked into it's eyes a certain sparkle found it's way in their eyes. Both of their eyes slightly glowed blue. Once it stopped, Mira smiled and hugged the Loth-Wolf. She then looked up to her father. "Can I keep him?" She asked. Ezra turned his head to the White Loth-Wolf next to him who understood and nodded. "I don't see why not." Ezra said. "Yes!" Mira squealed as she got up. "Come on, let's head back to the ship." Ezra said. Mira nodded as she followed her father back to the Ghost with the small Black Loth-Wolf walking close to her.
