It's been almost two days since Ezra and Hondo left Florrum for Tatooine. Ketsu was left in charge of the base while they were gone while Mira sat in one of the pirate guest rooms.
Mira sat on the bed looking around the small room and couldn't help but feel uncomfortable about it. Bad memories were then brought up from when she was kidnapped and put in a place like this. It felt like the walls were closing in on her and she could hear cruel and familiar voices in her head. Mira's heart was pounding and her eyes were dilating and she started to feel dizzy. Remembering quickly that she wasn't in that situation here and quickly left before she would have a panic attack on the spot. Once she left the room she sat on the ground leaning against the wall trying to steady her breathing. usually when she would have panic attacks, Sabine or Ezra would be there for her to help her relax. But this time she felt like she was by herself on a different planet away from her family so she had to try and calm herself down. Once she did she headed to the cantina area for something to drink.
Ketsu was in the cantina talking to some of the pirates when she noticed Mira walk in with a distant and uncomfortable look on her face as she walked to the counter and asked for something. The bartender returned to her with a cup and Mira took it. Ketsu left her conversation and headed over to Mira.
Mira sat at the counter and gave out an exhausted sigh with a distant look. "Hope that's not an acholic drink ya got there." Ketsu said standing next to Mira. Mira looked up at her with a small smile. "No. Just some water. I was thirsty." Mira said taking a sip. Ketsu sat next to her grabbing a drink for herself. "How you holding up, kid?" She asked. "Honestly, I don't know. I've experienced being this far away from home before but not like this. And when that Maul guy showed up, I've never seen dad so scared before. This whole experience is a lot to process." Mira said. "Yeah no kidding. A kid your age going through all that in one day is a lot to take in. But hey you're strong, just like your parents. Maybe you need to take your mind off of it all." Ketsu said. "How?" Mira asked. "Well, when your mother was stressed out dealing with stuff. She would paint or build something. Can't tell how much stuff she painted when she was stressed. I haven't seen any paint stuff laying around here, but I know there's a scrap area. Maybe you can find something there." Ketsu said. Mira slightly smiled and gave Ketsu a small hug. "Thanks for the talk Aunt Ketsu." Mira said. Ketsu smiled and patted her head. Mira broke the hug and walked out of the cantina area.
Mira found the scrap area Ketsu was talking about and saw how many scrap parts and broken down droids in the room. She walked inside to get a better look around the area noticing a lot of droid parts laying around realizing how unorganized the pirates were. As she walked deeper inside, Mira noticed a decommissioned droid laying on a table. It was small with a disk shaped head with two thin arms and three thin legs along with one eye. Mira picked it up and examined it. She twisted the head open and some components were either fried or missing. "You've been through a lot haven't you little guy?" Mira said. She looked up around the room noticing it would be hard to look for the right parts by hand. Luckily thanks to her dad she learned how to picture what she wanted and use the Force to search for it. And thanks to her mom, she knew which parts she needed to fix the little droid. Mira stuck her hand out and used the Force to gather what she needed. Within seconds, a power cell, a circuit board, modulation systems, and a couple of extra parts and components to help balance out the energy systems.
Once all the components were grabbed, Mira gathered all of them on a table around the droid. Once they were all together, Mira grabbed some tools and sat down. "Alright little guy, let's get you up and running." Mira said and got to work.
A few minutes later, Ketsu was walking past the scrap area and peaked inside to see Mira sitting down at a table working on a droid. Ketsu smiled as she noticed the focused look on Mira's face and couldn't help but see an image of Sabine in her place working on droid parts and her smiled more. "She really is your daughter, sis." Ketsu said as she walked away leaving Mira be.
After an hour Mira wiped her some sweat from her forehead and smiled as she finally finished on the small droid while also adding some adjustments and new components. "Okay, here goes nothing." She said as she turned on the droid. The droid's eye flickered before fully turning on. The legs started to move and the droid stood up and then began to float in the air in front of Mira.
Mira smiled as the droid stared at her. The droid's eye then blinks a few times then makes some beeping noises and Mira understood. "Hi, I'm Mira. You were damaged and missing some parts so I fixed you up and added some extra parts to your system." Mira told the droid. The droid's eye flickered again and made some more beeping noises again. "You're an ID10 droid and was used in the Empire? Huh, well, the Empire is gone now. Do you wanna be my droid?" Mira asked. The droid stared at her for a minute before it started to scan her with its eye. After the scan the droid's eye flickered dark blue and made some beeping noises. "Awesome! Now, how bout a name for you. Hm, How about Ido?" Mira asked. Ido made beeps of approval. Mira smiled and rubbed He's head and Ido leaned into it. Suddenly Ido's thrusters short circuited and he fell. Mira chuckled a little while scratching the back of her head. "Guess I need to make some more adjustments." Mira said and Ido beeped. "Don't worry. Once I'm done, you'll be as good as new." Mira said and grabbed her tools and went to work.
