(Knockout POV)
After I walked away from Dragonfly and turned the corner I started thinking. 'Whats wrong with me? Why do I like her? This makes no sense!'
I walked to my room, went in, and walked over to the washroom. I had a sick feeling in my stomach and it wouldn't go away. After a while of writing pointless reports to StarScream and Breakdown finally going into recharge, I still felt sick. It was like a sickness that I've never felt before and it got ten times worse around Dragonfly.
I laid down on my berth, but I couldn't get myself to go into recharge. I got up and sneaked out the door. It was about 0130 so I was careful to be quiet. I had planned on just walking around but when I reached Dragonfly's room, I felt compelled to knock.
'Don't knock.' I reached my servo out and tapped it against the door. 'What did you do? No! Why did I knock?' The door slid open. "Can you read minds? Because I was just looking for something to do." she said. I shrugged and forced myself not to smile.
"C'mon in. Why are you up?" she said as she sat cross-legged on her berth. She patted the spot next to her and smiled. "Oh, you know, the usual."
"Which is?"
"Writing pointless reports on nothing to StarScream."
"Cool. Hey, wanna play a game? My friend ShineArrow taught me. We have to come up with a nickname for everybot on the ship."
I considered it for a moment and finally agreed,"Alright. Who do we start with?" I walked over and sat down next to her. She smirked and replied,"Each-other." Well scrap. "For you I would say... DocKnock." she started. "I had an account on TheMainframe back home. Lets see if you can guess my username."
"Ok... I don't know. This is a hard one." I stated. "Ok, I'll tell you. XLR8. I was always the fastest at fixing things. Did you have an account?"
"I didn't go on much."
"Ok, let me guess your username... I'm going with,'Mr.AlwaysShiny.'"
"Frag no! It was,'TheBufferOfDeath.'"
She threw her helm back and exclaimed,"Oh yeah! You were the one always posting stuff about your, and I quote,'scrap heap of a job!'" I smirked and mumbled,"That job was scrap."
"Humm?" she looked at me. "Nothing, I was just thinking about my old job." We just sat there in silence looking at each other for a few moments but it wasn't weird it was... what's that other thing? That thing where everything is just the opposite of wrong, it's amazing, and it's exactly what you wanted? It was perfect.
I stared into her optics until realizing that they weren't completely blue anymore. They were mainly blue but in the very edges they were a very faint red.
"What's wrong?" Dragonfly asked, snapping me out of my thoughts. "Nothing."
"Really? 'Cause it looks like something's wrong."
I stood up and replied,"Nothing's wrong, alright?" I walked out of her room and waited for her door to close. I could hear her muffled words through the door,"Why am I so stupid!? I have to mess up and now not even Knockout wants to hang out with me. I thought something happened between us that day when we were in the top of the ship. Well, if there was something, I slagged it all up!"
She continued speaking but she spoke softer so I couldn't hear. Still, I stood there not knowing what else to do, and after a moment or two I heard sobbing. I opened that door and waked in. Dragonfly was sitting on her berth with her arms hugging her legs and her helm resting on her knee joints. She looked up at me and quickly wiped the Energon from her eyes.
