"Oh, pretty angel, take me to heaven with you."

I need a distraction—something to take my mind off him.

Rain pelted harshly against the thin fabric of my button-up shirt as I sat on the drenched park bench. I could go home, my apartment's not far from here, but I just need fresh air, and I don't want to be reminded of him, my boyfriend of nearly six months.

Is it too much to ask for something to snatch my thoughts away?

"You okay?"

Someone spoke to me. I hadn't heard the sounds of them coming, no footprints or rain hitting against an umbrella. Maybe it was because they wielded no umbrella, much like myself.

And, when I looked up, I could shoot at a guess as to why that might be.

He was an angel.

His piercing hazel eyes seemed as if they were glowing in the midst of this fog and pouring rain. His clothes, a simple t-shirt and a pair of joggers, clung to his body, soaked in water.

And his hair, an eye-catching ginger as bright as the sun. He smiled at me, and my heart nearly jumped out of my throat.

"Let me guess..." The attractive stranger took a seat beside me on the bench and hugged his knees close, then his eyes turned to me again. I couldn't bear to hold such astonishing eyes with my swollen, blood-shot ones.

"You're going through a breakup?"

A shiver raked up my spine. How could he possibly know that if he wasn't an angel?

"That's rough. Love hurts, huh?"

He must have taken his guess as the correct one since my boggled eyes were on him again. His voice is so soothing...

"Yeah, it does..."

Another tender smile swept over his mouth.

"I kinda know how that feels. You must be heartbroken. How long were you together?"

"About half a year. He was my everything, but today we were in town, and he had said he couldn't handle me anymore, and that it's best if we... go our own way..."

More tears threatened to pour from my eyes, and they did when this little stranger leaned against my body and hummed softly in understanding. The rain pouring around us eased to a light pour.

"Can't handle you how?"

"He said I'm too eager to hit the bed, so much so that it often takes a toll on his body. He never said to stop, though, and I always made sure to take care of him afterward, but, I mean... Maybe I just get too excited? I don't know..."
