The next day, I had a flight to Italy for a work trip. I finished packing and made my way to the airport.

All who I could think about was Clay. I know but once I moved here I've been with Clay... I have to unattached myself to him but it's gonna be a hard process unless I find some one else to distract me.

I hate airplanes so much but this will take my mind off the heartbreak right? I spoke to myself. How can my mind clear if I'm traveling on something I'm batshit terrified of.

I quickly ran to my gate, almost missing my flight but I managed to board. "Great start" I muttered to myself as I caught my breath. I got on the plane and my hands are already shaking.

I sat down in my seat but I just can't sit with this crowded space.

I got up from my seat and asked a flight attendant. "Excuse me?" I got her attention before I explained to her how I can't sit still and how terrified I am of planes.

She assured me there's nothing that she could do but eventually move me to the business class where it's much quieter.

I step in business class and seen a tall, muscular, fine man in a black suit with a few other man surrounding him. He wore a black fedora that covered half his face but I noticed he had a nose piercing.

They all murmured but I didn't focus on them. I sat on the opposite of him, trying quickly to buckle my seatbelt while trembling.

The plane took off and almost instantly I shut my eyes as I place one of my hands over my mouth to stop me from saying anything I know I'm going to regret.

After we were now smoothly gliding in the air I opened my eyes to see I'm now holding the man's hand with my freshly done nails dug right into his flesh.

I looked at him for a second, my mouth open from being in shock. "Oh.my.god. I'm so sorry" I spluttered very apologetically, "I had no idea I promise".

I quickly got a bandaid out my handbag and placed it on his marks from my nails. "It's fine really, I don't need one," He husked out instantly sending chills throughout my body from his thick Italian accent that rolled off his tongue smoothly. "No,no, I insist." I gave a worried smile while putting a plaster on his tattooed hand. He smiled back showing his icey blue eyes, pearly white teeth and gold bottom grills.

That's a first I've seen a non person of color wear grills.

Not to bad looking either.

The plane finally landed in Italy and I quickly got off the plane. I wanted to get away from the Italian man so I can forget about what happened earlier which was so embarrassing.

I watched as he got off with his men beside him which reminded me of Clay. Obviously he's in some type of mafia.

I watched as he took a few glances at me before I left to catch a taxi to my hotel for check in.

I immediately took a shower and went straight to bed. This jet lag is real but for some reason no matter how many times I closed my eyes, my mind was repeating the plane scene.

The next day, I woke up and got ready for my interview for my new job. I was beyond excited because Italy has actually been on my bucket list for years and now since I had the opportunity to work here I've been on top of the moon this morning.

I did the normal like always, got in the shower, washed off my body and shaved and got out. I moisturized my body with cocoa butter. I refuse to walk out ashy! I didn't want to apply a full face so I just sticked with lashes and some lip gloss.
