I pick up the apple sitting in the fruit basket.
"Eating again already?"
It was my first thing I've eaten in days besides gum and water.
I put it down.
"You already grabbed it, now eat it."
The words fell out of her mouth like a water fall.
I swipe the basket off the table as tears form in my tired eyes.
I shouldn't feel like this at my age.
