"Hello?" Church awoke to the voice speaking out, feeling dazed. His head hurt alot as he wondered what was happening. "Helloooo? Hello? Can you hear me, Private?"
Church grunted. "Yeah..." He slowly stood up from the concrete floor he was now on. "Private? What?" He then access his surroundings, finding himself to be standing in a concrete room with open doorways and alone with a man in aqua armour. "Where am I?"
"Easy there, son!" said the man with a nice and reassuring tone. "It's me, your good friend and mentor, Captain Butch Flowers! There was an accident. You seem to have lost some of your memory."
"An accident?!" exclaimed Church. This would explain why he doesn't remember getting here but what caused this? "Wha... Wha... What happened?
"There was a wet spot on the floor. You slipped and hit your head."
"Oh..." said Church, dissapointed.
"Tell me, do you remember your name?" He asked, worringly.
"Yeah, it's Leonard Church, always has been." He said, confidently.
"It is indeed." He said, ominously. "And what is the last thing you remember?"
"I don't know." Church then searched into his memories. "There was this snow and there was fighting."
"Interesting... Interesting," commented Butch. "Go on."
"And there was this girl and she was fighting... I guess she was fighting someone."
"Is that so? And who was this girl fighting."
"It was this blue guy." Church turned away as he tried to jog his memory harder. "Yeah... I don't know I..." Then the pieces fell for him. "Oh my god! . "Private Jimmy!"
"Yes, that's right!" Church turned to see Flowers hastily putting something away. "Poor Private Jimmy. You've certainly mentioned him before."
"Yeah, I remember him, my patrol partner. But... I don't know... It was weird. She was beating him to death with his own skull?" Church said, confused.
"Well, that doesn't seem physical possible" said Flowers. "But if that is what you remember, then why question it? Just be sure to let me know if more strange memories start falling into place." He then asked. "We want to make sure to get our- I mean your story straight."
"Uhh yeah ok, sounds good to me." Church looked down and saw he was still in his armour. "Hey, why am I still in this armour?"
"Don't you remember? We're fighting the Reds," answered Flowers. Church looked at him, confused. "Well, lets just jog your memory. After that incident, Command collected you and then ordered you to be stationed at Blood Gulch Outpost Alpha to help us fight with our rivals, the Reds. You were dropped of here, meet me, I showed you around then you slipped on the wet spot."
Church was about to say something when someone called down one of the hallways. "Hellooo?" A man in blue armour then entered into the room. "Oh, hey, Captain."
"Ah, Private Tucker," said Flowers. "Our newest recruit. I'd like you to meet your comrade, Private Church."
"Sup? Are you a chick?" the new recruit asked.
"No," said Church.
"Bummer."
"Yeah, I don't like you," Church added bluntly.
"Come'n now, fellas," said Flowers. "We're a team. Teams have to work together. So how about we go on a little scouting mission?"
"Really?" asked Church, concerned. "I mean it's not like I just woke up from a traumatic head injury. You sure that's a good idea?"
