Part 32 Suspecting Anjali

Alex handcuffed Shyam.

"Sir, on which basis you are arresting me?" Shyam asked.

"We will talk in the station, Mr. Jha. We have time."

"You ought to tell me the reason Sir... how could you arrest me baselessly?"

Shyam looked at Anjali who was thinking something.

"What are you thinking Anjali? Tell him, I'm not related to Khushi's escape"

Anjali was thinking about something that happened last night. Shyam woke her up last night and they had a session. He said he didn't get sleep having Anjali by his side. If he didn't get sleep last night, then he would have known about Khushi's call. The call timing and their session's timing were perfectly matching. That was what made Anjali suspicious.

"I would like to talk to him, inspector," Anjali said.

Alex thought for a while,

"Ok... you can talk. But don't try anything smart"

"No, inspector... this room has only one exit and my daughter is sleeping in that room," Said Anjali and entered the room.

Shyam followed her. he locked the door.

"What the hell is this Anjali? The inspector is suspecting me and you are silent..."

Cutting him,

"I know you were UP last night. Then you should have known about Khushi's call... you are the one who should have attended her call. I have no doubt about that. why didn't you wake me up to attend her call? What did you talk to her about? why did you delete her number from the call list? Why didn't you tell me about her call? What did you talk to her for more than ten minutes?" Anjali shot the question angrily, making Shyam shocked.

He might have thought of making her emotionally weak. It seemed tough for him. Anjali was not just suspecting but connected the dots perfectly. He cursed himself for waking her up to have a session last night. Yet he tried to get the situation in his hands. he thought for a while and was ready to turn the table.

"How could I tell you if your sister talked about YOU?"

Anjali frowned.

"Me? what did she talk about me?"

"She had been disappointed with you for many reasons. At first, she was angry with you for arranging her marriage without her acceptance. She thinks you want to lessen your burden. She thinks you are considering her as your BURDEN. She said you are selfish and wants to happen everything as per your wish"

If Shyam would have expected Anjali to become a weaker, poor man, he got disappointment. Anjali folded her hands with a stern expression.

"Don't you trust me, Rani Sahiba?"

"What are you hiding from me?" she hit him with a straight question.

"Me...? I don't hide anything... I did wrong by hiding the truth of her call from you. I should not have done that..." he pretended like regretting.

"If she wanted to complain about me to you, why did she call me?"

"She called you to fight..."

Cutting him,

"In the midnight?"

"She is in an affair with someone, Rani Sahiba. I understood that in her talks. That's why she called you to fight with you. using that in her favor, she would have planned to elope..."
