"So, the new Ladybug..is a boy?" Chat Noir/Adrien x Reader

🐞Chapter 3: A Sudden Change❗️

You jump up from your seat, startled by the sudden fist bursting through the wall. 

"Okay class, everyone get to a safe place!" Miss Bustier shouts, and everyone scatters. 

Adrien runs out of the room immediately before the others, and Marinette looks a bit panicked. 

You run over to her. "Marinette, what's wrong?-"

"I..I don't know what I'm going to do- ..I can't be Ladybug again, not after what happened yesterda-"

"MARINETTE..! AREN'T YOU GONNA TRANSFORM? LADYBUG NEEDS TO BE PRESENT TO SAVE THE DAY AFTER ALL!"

"I can't do this-"

You look around quickly, before deciding to just grab her hand and run out of there. 

"Where are we going?-"

"I dunno, to safety??"

"Ah- right-" 

You continue running with her, jumping over the occasional pushed down bookcase or desk.  The two of you eventually get outside and hide behind a car to observe the enemy. 

Sure enough, it seems to be someone that turned into a giant, similar to the enemy from the other day. They're currently destroying buildings and throwing cars. Hawk Moth seems to be making more destructive villains..

"I can't go out there- they know who I am- They could target those close to me, so I wouldn't want to risk giving my earrings to them.."

You look down a moment, trying to think of some sort of solution to Marinette's problem. 

Chat Noir practically flies over your heads, going to attack the monster in an attempt to find the akumatized object. 

"What if you gave them to Chat again?-"

"I'd feel guilty leaving him to do all of this on his own..again.."

"Okay, then I guess that's not gonna work.. hmm.."

"Wait, I have an idea-" Marinette turns to you, pulling you down with her as she crouches to hide away from sight. 

She says your name. "You're new around here- and I'd only officially met you today-"

"Yes..your point?"

"Meaning..that no one would guess that.."

"..Wait a minute. Are you saying what I think you're saying?"

"Think about it! No one would ever guess that you were Ladybug-"

"Marinette..ARE YOU CRAZY?! There is no way I could be Ladybug- You've only just met me today, isn't that like crazy risky???"

"Yes, it's a huge risk- ..but it's the only thing I can think of-" She grabs a small box which you assume has her earrings inside it. "Please, at least consider doing this- even if it's just this once, until I can figure out another solution-"

"Are you absolutely sure you want me to do this?"

"Yes. You won't have to do it more than once, unless you decide you want to."

You look at her and then the box, contemplating. Should you really do this? Isn't it insanely risky? You have no idea what you're doing! But at the same time, Marinette really needs your help..

"Fine, I'll do it."

"Thank you!" Her expression turns serious, as she says your name. "This is the Miraculous of the Ladybug, which will grant the power of Creation. You will use it for the greater good."
