Chloe looks past you, seeing the newly formed chaos.
"Ugh, seriously? The one time we can hang out, Hawk Moth just can't help but akumatize somebody. GREAT-" She crosses her arms.
You quickly pull out your phone, calling Marinette and putting the phone up to your ear.
"Pick up pick up pick up-" You pace back and forth impatiently, waiting for Marinette to answer. Chloe observes your panicked state, putting a hand on your shoulder.
"Hey, we need to find a spot to hide so we don't end up like..them." She gestures behind her to a pair of stick figures who are freaking out about the fact they have no faces.
"Yeah..good call." You glance around, trying to find a good hiding spot, but unfortunately can't find anything nearby..
You then get an idea.
"Hey, let's go to the bakery, we can hide in there since it's close by until the attack is over."
"Hmmm..alright, I guess. It is more secure." She glances over at you as you put your phone away.
"Let's hurry." You hold out your hand for her to take it, and the two of you immediately begin running to the bakery.
This gives me a chance to let Marinette pass the earrings to me without it being suspicious. And Chloe will be safe, so it's two birds with one stone. You think to yourself, lifting your phone to see Marinette's reply to a text.

You spot the bakery, dodging an oddly shaped circle and rush inside, closing the doors and barricading them.
"Hello Mr. and Mrs. Du-"
Marinette rushes downstairs, grabbing your hand and dragging you upstairs with her, Chloe casually following behind.
"Maybe give me a warning next time-"
"There is no time-"
She shuts the door once Chloe's entered the room, walking over to her desk and sitting in the chair.
"How bad is it out there?"
"Well, there's an akumatized kid turning everyone into scribbles. People are freaking out."
"He's going after children again..that's awful."
"He's gone after kids before?-"
"Yes, he's akumatized Manon, Nadja Chamack's daughter, Chris, Nino's little brother, and Alya's younger sisters."
"That's horrible. To think he's desperate enough to go after them.."
"Hawk Moth is a sick, sick man." She furrows her brows, turning to her monitor.
"So. What are we supposed to do while this is happening? Aren't you supposed to go out there and stop this, Dupain-Cheng?"
You glance over at her.
