No one suspected anything a month later. He was always excellent at keeping the secret of him living with me. That's until, he wasn't.
"I won't ask you again, William, where do you keep running off to?!" His father yelled, making him flinch.
When Louis heard his middle name, he knew he was in trouble. Even though his
grandfather was more strict than his dad, it didn't particularly change the fact that they were both strict in general."I was at the private retreat like I said, father! Do you not believe that I'm telling the truth?" He lied, trying to sound convincing.
"I don't! I called the palace, and they said that you have not been there since August. Which makes me curious about where you have been going off to all this time!"
It was then at that moment, that Louis knew he had been caught. Lying even more would most certainly not do him good.
Forced to confess, his father sent him to the dungeon for punishment. He didn't eat for nearly 10 hours, nor did he shower until the next day.
When he tried to sneak out the next night to pray, he was halted by the guards who his grandfather hired to block all parts of the palace.
Feeling defeated, he went to his room and cried. He cried for what seemed like an eternity, until he fell asleep, hoping to awaken and find out that his life is all a dream and that he was living a normal life.
The sad truth is, this was his life, and there was no escaping it.
Another chapter that was supposed to long, haha😂
Y'all ever write a chapter and then realized that you basically just made an ending sentence, so you think there's no point in continuing? That's what I do sometimes by accident, lol. I mean, it could continue, but the sentences always sound too final.
But I hope you guys liked it! This is another short story, so it will be ending soon.
Also, I had to remove the bold fonts. I just had to. I have to watch 3 damn ads just to unlock them for 12 hours, it's annoying😭
