Time skip: A few years later after the birth of the young princess

"Please wait. Your Highness!" shouted a voice.

"No! I am going to my mother, no matter what you say," spoke the young princess, who had the same white hair as her father and blazing emerald eyes as her mother, while running down the beautiful hallways of the Wistal Castle.

Suddenly, the door of the medical wing burst open. Everyone got startled.

"Mama! Mama! Look at what I caught from the gard-" the young princess's foot got caught in the hem of her skirt, making her trip and fall onto the ground.

"YOUR HIGHNESS!" a voice boomed beyond the door.

At the same time, screams came out of the room, "PRINCESS!"

Shirayuki, the red-haired Queen, hurried over to her daughter and embraced her in her arms.

"Ooh! My! What made my princess trip?" shirayuki said as she rose while lifting her.

At first, the princess was too stunned to speak, then she pointed at the floor as she thought it was because of it that she tripped. Shirayuki giggled as there was nothing on the floor. She brushed the dust off of her dress and gently caressed her face. She stroked her hair off her forehead and gave it a gentle kiss.

"I will surely punish this floor who made my princess trip," she said with a smile.

"I'm sorry, Little Miss. I couldn't keep the princess from falling," Obi said, bowing his head.

"It's alright. Kids do grow like this. Truthfully, it's more amusing to see Obi's flustered expression once in a while. I could even hear you scream from beyond the doors," she said with a chuckle.

Obi had been the personal guard of the princess ever since she was born. She still remembered the surprised expression on Zen's face when Obi handed over his resignation letter. After all, who in the world knew that he wanted to upgrade himself from being a bodyguard to a full-fledged Knight? Of course, he had to prove his worth to be a member of the Royal Knight, but in the end, he did it.

"Let me apply the bandage on her nose?" Head Pharmacist said, noticing a red liquid sneaking out of those delicate nostrils.

Shirayuki looked over her and found that she was about to burst into tears after realizing that there was blood coming out of her nose. As a court herbalist, she knew how to treat nose bleeds. And she did exactly that. She tilted her head forward and pinched her nose tightly to stop the bleeding. But the problem was how to keep her from crying. Then suddenly, a thought ran through her mind and she spoke.

"Oh! My! It looks like my princess is more delicate than snow. But that's fine. Because  I am the only one who knows that my baby is hiding her true strength behind those cute eyes. Isn't it? Now show some of those powers to aunty Garak, too. Show her that you are not afraid of blood. You are stronger just like your daddy."

As soon as the princess heard about her father, she gulped and put those tears back into their place. She had always wanted to become like her father, so whenever he was mentioned, she felt a strong surge of energy running through her body that could fight against any obstacle. Shirayuki held her nose pressed until her bleeding completely stopped. Then, she looked at the head pharmacist and said, "Will you please bring a bandage?"

Garak opened the medicine cabinet and brought out a bandage and some tissue papers. She walked over to shirayuki, handed over the tissue to her and applied the bandage to the princess's nose. Shirayuki wiped her blooded fingers with the tissue and passed it to the extended hand of Obi who was waiting for it throw out.

"By the way, my princess, what did you come here for?" shirayuki asked after the bandage was done.

"Mama! Look! I wanted to show you this," she held out her hand before shirayuki.

"My goodness! It's a Yura Shigure. Where did you find it? And why are you holding it?" shirayuki questioned, in a surprised tone.

"I found it in the garden. I wanted to show my favourite flower to you," the princess answered.

"Favorite flower?"

"Yes," she looked over the flower, lovingly. And before she knew it, a beautiful smile spread across her cheeks.

"And why is this flower your favourite?" shirayuki asked innocently.

"Because it's bright and red, just like you."

She chuckled. Never in her dreams had she imagined hearing the same words from two different people.

"Mama!" the princess called out with a confused look.

"Nothing! My lovely daughter. It's just that your words reminded me of the past. A close friend of mine also said the same words as you. His name is Ryuu and he is one of the most talented herbalists in our kingdom," she responded.

"I never thought I would hear those words again." A warm, honey-like voice brushed against shirayuki's ears. She gasped and turned around. Before her eyes, sitting at the window, was the very person whom she love with all her might.

"ZEN!" she called out his name, lovingly.

He jumped by the window and walked toward them.

"I never guessed I would have to compete with a flower to become my daughter's favourite," Zen said while patting her head affectionately.

"No! You would never have to compete. You will always be my number one. I don't want my daddy to get injured while fighting," she immediately said.

"Oh, my adorable princess! Do you think I would lose the fight to a flower?" he said with a chuckle.

Princess thought for a while and then said, "I don't know about the flower but I do know that you can't win a fight against someone who resembles this flower."

The chuckle echoed throughout the room. Shirayuki couldn't help but giggle at the statement of the innocent soul.

"Now, what am I going to do with you?" said Zen while kissing her forehead.
