[The episode starts off with zooming inside a Chomp Kitty arcade cabnet]Five: Have you ever seen what really happens inside a video-game when it starts to glitch?
Tyrannix: kinda Five, why
[A root-form glitch breaks free of the Hinobi cylinder, hissing as a Chomp Kitty emerges from the cabnet]
Miko: Chomp Kitty was a glitch from a game that was totally out of order, so we had to pull the plug.
[Cue Miko, Tyrannix, and Five standing up to Chomp Kitty, with older and altered appearances]
Five: I told em', "You picked the wrong ball of yarn to toy with kitty!"
Miko: I don't remember you saying that.
Tyrannix: neither do I
Five: I would have if I'd thought to.
Miko: But I do remember us blasting it to plixel dust! Because when videogames glitch-
Five: -Us Glitch Techs scratch the itch!
[The story Miko, Tyrannix, and Five blast Chomp Kitty with their gauntlets, causing the roof of the arcade to explode, and Chomp Kitty along with it. They capture the glitch and pose as the crowd cheers]
Automated voice: Glitch contained. Expert level, double XP
[The shot transitions back into reality at the Hinobi store, where Five and Miko are posing on top of the counter much to Tyrannix's annoyance. ]
Customer: All I asked was if you sold rechargable batteries.
Five: Uh, I think so. It's our first day
Phil: Sorry ma'am, see these uh, two are still learning the ropes of the business, eh y'know. Where things are, what they cost and how we never tell customers about our super secret task force of monster hunters!
Customer: I'm so confused.
Tyrannix: agreed.
[Tyrannix walks to a shelf to straighten the boxes as he receives a text from Zahra]
Phil: Good, now uh, please accept this coupon and a memory-wipe of everything my employees just told you.
[Phil pulls forward his manager tag and resets her}
Customer: Oh, a coupon! And I was just going to ask if you sold-
Phil: Rechargable batteries. Aisle three
[The customer walks away]
Phil: Okay yeah, you three have worked this counter long enough.
Miko: Dude! First day and already getting promoted!
Five: Yes!
Tyrannix: I was rearranging the merchandise
Phil: If you're gonna be Glitch Techs, you need to take the tutorial.
Five: Yes!
Tyrannix: tutorial?
Miko: [simultaneously] No!
Tyrannix: what?
Miko: [groans] Tutorials are the most boring part of any game!
Five: What about chaining a whip-stitching crochet fighter? Or climbing onion volcanoes in Teppanyaki Four?
Phil: Not that I don't love a good debate, which that wasn't, but there's no opt out of this. You have plenty to learn besides how to blast glitches.
[Five, Tyrannix, and Miko head to a portal Phil has opened, only for them to get their head and foot stuck in the portal]
