We are inside the spot we meet each year; the gym. It's cramped with around 150 kids since our school is small. Me and Rebecca sit down together, along with Lydia, Penelope, and Skylar. We have all been friends for quite a long time; Expect for me and Lydia we only became friends last year I believe, we barely talked, but now we talk more! Suddenly i hear a microphone, it's our principal most likely going to tho over the rules. I roll my eyes and tune her out till she is finished, it's the same rules every year. Then they start calling up classes. Finally it's my class, I know this because they call my name first. "Azrael" my new teacher says. I walk up the front and start a line. She calls up other students; when she is finished we exit out the gym door and head to our new classroom. "You may sit wherever you like." She says. Desks are in rows I decide to sit beside Rebecca of course. this teacher knows me and Rebecca are trouble when we sit beside eachother. As we had this teacher for three years; this is the fourth. Our class is a 6/7 spilt and I see my friends from last year. We weren't in the same class because they were only in grade 5.
After we are all sitting the teacher begins to speak. "Now that you are all settled, I'm going to go over the schedule for this year." She says then goes over the schedule. "First we will have Math, then English, then you can have a free period to finish up any work you haven't finished. Finally it will be break time. After that you can get out a book and read for 20 minutes. Then more English, then it will be your 2nd break. Then it will be science or history. Then it will be bus time." The class nods in a understanding way. "For now you can have free time into break since it's only the first day." The classes cheers in happiness.
After awhile the bell rings for lunch. We go out to grab our lunch, you can here everyone gossiping happy to see eachother. We head back into the class and eat our lunch, while eating me and Rebecca chat.
