There's Something in the Water...

Don't Drink That

*As I sat on the bench I noticed as a hooded man began to approach me*

  "Was he coming toward me?" I wondered.
*He started to speed up* I was scared of what the guy was doing but you never judge a book by its cover right? And just as I was about to take a sip of my water he ran over to me and smacked out of my hand! "What's wrong with you!? I said angered. "Are you crazy what's wrong with you!!?" He said to me "no what's wrong with you I was going to drink that you know!" "You can't drink the water!" He said.

    "And why is that?" I asked. "Haven't you noticed people have been acting weird lately? It's the government, they're putting something in the water" he said dead serious. This guy must be out of his mind! "Look just leave me alone" I said "listen to me, you might think I'm crazy but I promise you the government is putting something in the water!" As he looked me in the eyes I realized he was around my age, I thought he was some crazy old man but maybe I was wrong. Matter of fact now that I think about it he looks quite familiar, wait..."Carson?" I said

     "The one and only" he said. I couldn't believe it, most popular guy my school was telling me that the government was putting something in the water. "Look I need you to listen to me the water isn't safe" he said. "What do you mean?" I asked. Was he crazy or something, why he keep going on about the water?. "The government is putting something in the water, it's a long story but if you drink this water they take control of you they turn you into their servants!" He said.

     I'd only known Carson for a short period of time, but he never appeared to be a crazy person. "I see, you think I've lost my mind." He said. "No offense but you sound kind of crazy right now, plus even if you are telling the truth why would you tell me." I asked. "Because I saw you about to drink that water, and I recognized you so I ran to stop you" he said to me in a shaky yet stern voice.
"How do you know all this" I asked. "I started to notice something was wrong, I always hated drinking water and my parents knew this but for some reason out of nowhere they started encouraging me to drink water." "So what? What if they just wanted you to be healthy" I asked. "That so-called encouraging turned into them threatening me if I didn't drink the water." He said.

   I started to think back to the other day when my mom got furious when she saw me pour out a glass of water I was drinking. My mom was never the type of person to yell she was always calm and sweet, it was like she was a whole another person. "I hate to admit it but you're right it's like everyone's been trying to force us to drink the water lately, but even if that's true it doesn't mean it's controlling us. I drink a bottle of water the other day and I was fine!" I said less convinced. "That's because they don't have access to every water bottle, we constantly have water bottles coming in from out of the country but our tap water supply comes from one place...."

    "So you think they're poisoning the tap water?" I asked. "Not just the tap water, the bottled water too which just harder for them to get to all of it you know." He said. Was my life in danger? I didn't know how to tell him but I had just drink from the tap this morning.....
