Beca had been gone for about 2 weeks now, and Chloe was still taking it pretty harsh. She knew the trip was planned before their fight, but she couldn't help but wonder if their other relationship issues caused the trip.
Chloe had been confiding in Amy a lot since Beca's leaving, and tonight they had dinner plans. Chloe arrived to the restaurant at 6pm and got their table.
After about a half hour of Chloe waiting, Amy was nowhere to be found. Just as she was getting ready to leave dinner altogether, she saw a familiar face. Blair, the bartender, walked into the restaurant. Chloe waved and she came over.
"Hey Chloe, what are you doing all alone?"
"Amy stood me up I think. Guess she got a better offer," Chloe joked. "What are you up to?"
"I was just here to try this new wine that's supposedly amazing."
"Want to sit while you try it? A spot at my table recently opened up."
"Why not?" Blair pulled out the chair and took a seat.
In a more sober state, Chloe realized how beautiful Blair was. She had blonde wavy hair that fell just above her shoulders, and deep brown eyes. Her arms were covered with intricate tattoos from the shoulder down.
They hadn't seen each other since Chloe's meltdown a couple weeks ago.
"Things with she-who-shall-not-be-named get any better?" Blair played with her rings out of nervousness.
Chloe took a long sip of her cocktail before answering.
"We haven't talked since she left. It's for the best, and I'm getting over it."
"Good for you. You deserve better."
The two finished their drinks and got to know each other a little better. Chloe was fascinated by the confidence exuded by Blair, and how easy it came for her.
"Want to get out of here?" Chloe asked. She knew this was risky, but she needed something to get rid of her lingering feelings for Beca.
"Shit, alright. We can go back to my place and watch a movie if you want." Blair was equally nervous, but she was able to keep her cool a lot better than Chloe.
"Perfect."
They paid the bill and immediately started for Blair's apartment.
Blair lived just down the block, so they walked back. Chloe's head was clogged with anxiety and fear for what was about to happen. Blair was a pretty girl who Chloe had enjoyed her night with so far, so she was excited too. She just couldn't shake the thought of Beca finding out about this.
The girls were in the elevator up to Blair's floor, and Chloe's nerves had really kicked in. She tried her best to hide it.
"You alright?" Blair asked. She could see right through Chloe's attempted confidence.
"Oh yeah. All good."
"If you don't want to come over I get it. Like if it's too soon or whatever-"
"No. Not too soon." Chloe smiled.
"Ok good, cause you're really pretty."
Just as Chloe was about to respond, a call from Amy came through.
"Sorry, I gotta take this. Just give me one sec."
Blair began to unlock the door and go inside, but Chloe stayed back in the hallway to finish her call."
"Amy, what's up?"
"I just remembered we had dinner plans earlier and I'm so sorry I missed it! If you want to do anything tonight to make up for it I'm free."
"Thanks Amy, but it's alright. I'm actually over at Blair's apartment right now..."
"Blair the bartender? Does Beca know?"
"No, Beca doesn't know. She blew me off, so I don't think I'm obligated to tell her."
"I don't know, Chlo. This sounds like it could really mess things up for good with you guys."
"I think we're past that. Things got messed up for good when she left without a single word."
"Just don't do anything you'll regret. I'll see you tomorrow."
Chloe was mad at Amy's judgement. She could make her own decisions, and she didn't need Amy to approve of them. Chloe walked into the apartment to see Blair making drinks in the kitchen.
"I remember you liked tequila, try this."
Blair handed Chloe a glass.
"Is that a paloma? Those are my favorite."
"Yeah, they're one of my favorites too. Help yourself to more, the grapefruit juice is in the fridge."
"So, what are we watching?" Chloe asked.
"This is cheesy... but want to watch 10 Things I Hate About You?"
"Oh my god that's like my favorite movie."
For a second, Chloe let herself reminisce on all the times her and Beca watched that movie together. She tried to block out the memory.
The girls laid on the couch watching the movie, Blair's arm over Chloe. About halfway through, Blair leaned in for a kiss.
Chloe was eager to kiss her up until it actually happened. She tried to fake it, but all she could think about was Beca.
Blair began to unzip Chloe's jean shorts and pull them down.
"We shouldn't." Chloe said between heavy breaths.
"If you want me to stop I will."
Chloe bit her lip and rapidly thought of all the possible consequences this would have. There were a lot, but Blair was irresistible in that moment.
"No don't stop."
Blair gave her a smirk back and continued to take off her pants. She went down on Chloe, swirling her tongue on Chloe's clit and kissing up and down her inner thigh.
This went on for a bit longer until Chloe eventually came, and that was pretty much the end of that. By the time Blair came back up, Chloe was visibly upset. She looked like she saw a ghost.
"Was I really that bad?"
"Fuck." Chloe ignored her and stared blankly.
"I'm really sorry Blair, but I gotta go."
"Uh, see you around I guess?" Blair was confused, but by the way Chloe was acting in the bar a couple weeks ago, she assumed it was about Beca.
"Sure." Chloe hurried out as quickly as possible.
She felt horrible about what she did. Her and Beca's "breakup" was jumbled and unclear, so it felt like she had cheated.
Chloe ran out of the apartment building and threw up in some bushes outside. She couldn't stop the thought that Beca would never love her again if she knew what she did tonight.
Chloe hurried back to the Bellas house to find Amy. She was the only person Chloe could confide in these days.
