Chapter 2: Leave and remember

Levi's P.O.V.

I got the squad together for a special meeting. As I was waiting for everyone to appear, Armin handed me capes that didn't have the Wings of freedom on them so they don't know that we are the missing squad during the mission.  Eren and the other members of my squad started to file in as the clock struck noon.  I took a seat in the chair at the head of the table.  They also sat down.

"Listen up! Today we are discussing what our plans are for the mission," I started out as everybody turned towards me.

"We are not going along with their plan. Instead, Armin worked on this plan for a week just for us. There are no straight up attacks. Just planned attacks.  We will go into two groups. Me, Eren and Petra.  Armin will go with the others."  I addressed as Eren plays his videogames.  I walk behind Eren to see that he is play Pokemon Red version and roll my eyes. He turns around and quickly shuts his gameboy.  I try to take away his gameboy, but he keeps fighting back.  He keeps tugging on it until it breaks.

"What the hell Levi!?" Eren yelled at me.  Everybody including Armin who just walks into the netting room with papers that look important. 

"Why did you break my only gameboy? " Eren asked furiously. I took his broken gameboy, took out the game and threw the Gameboy in the trash and walked back to my chair and sat down again. Everyone looked back at me and we continued.

Erwin's P.O.V.

I wonder what Levi is doing in the meeting room? He might be talking about the plans they have to study before tomorrow. Anyway, I walk towards the stables to get my horse so I can practice one thing before lunch time. The smell of the stables leaks into the air as I get closer and closer. I see someone standing in front, yet I can't make out their face as well as I could everyone else. Why can't I see this person clear? Am I old, or am I just stupid and it's Levi instead? No, it is not Levi. He would never be on his horse unless if he had his squad with him. I keep walking slowly until I realize it is someone I haven't seen since Levi joined the Survey Corps. Farlan Church. I see Isabel Magnolia sneak out of the stables without a horse and run away behind the stables with Farlan. I thought they were, nevermind. It must be a prank of some sort.

Anyway, I walk away thinking about what I saw. How could have Farlan and Isabel survived? Levi kicked the crap out of that Titan just for them. Farlan's lower half got eaten and the only thing left of Isabel was her bloody head just laying on it's side. The idea stumps me. I just can't imagine the both of them being alive after what happened. No regrets, Levi. This is what you called no regrets. I was glad he didn't choose the other option. I would've left him alone or at least dragged him in both ways. Levi, Farlan and Isabel reminds me of Eren, Mikasa and Armin. Three friends trying to survive the Survey Corps and two eventually dying from Titans, or will it? We will never know which of the three will never die. Either Armin, Mikasa or Eren. Which one? Obviously Armin would die first, then probably Mikasa. Eren is a Titan shifter so, that rules him out unless if there is a friendly fire.

Those two thugs from the underground proved to be nothing other than a victim of the Titans. It made me believe that Levi would be the next victim, but no. He is now Humanity's strongest fighter and I know he won't die during this next mission. I knew that Levi, Isabel and Farlan couldn't handle being in the Survey Corps. Even if I did tell the Military Police of all their crimes, they wouldn't believe me for one second. They would most likely take me as a non credible source. I can't believe they didn't just quit on me. Only people who take the dare to leave.

I go back outside to see Farlan and Isabel sitting on a hill. It isn't just any hill, it is the hill where Levi cried for a week until he decided that it was time to move on with his life and promised to stay alive. It wasn't the living bodies of Isabel and Farlan, it was their ghost. I walk over there to sneak up behind them so they wouldn't blow off into thin air again like they did at the stables. I remember Isabel and Farlan hopping up onto their horses and riding with their groups . Such excitement.

And then the both of them turned around to only stand up and look straight into my eye. They never forgot.
