I try to run after Armin, but he blasts me with this dark, cold energy. Huh? How could he learn a spell so fast? That is almost impossible unless if he really is meant to be a Dark Mage after all. I reach for him as he turns around and forcefully pushes my back into the ground.

"If I took it too literally, I would have succeeded. But since I failed, you failed me Eren. You are the reason why Levi died." Armin said as I started to cry. I didn't fail him at all. I know it would have been Levi's fault at most. He must have planned on dying so we could get the hell out of here before anything else bad happens. Erwin kills the titan that supposedly swallowed Levi and then joins the rest of us on the roof. I stand up and run after Armin. When he is about to jump off the roof that is still dripping blood, I catch him by the sleeve of his jacket and pull him back to where Petra is. Even though he is by Petra, I don't risk the chance of letting him go. Erwin breathes heavily as he tries to catch his breath from killing all of those Titans. Everybody looks at Erwin like he is suppose to do something about this mess.

"We are the remaining members of the Survey Corps. As promised, I will call a retreat in honor of all of these deaths here today in Wall Maria. The wall will be re-claimed sometime in the future. Before we get out of here, we should search for survivors on the roof only. If you hear someone calling from inside the houses it is best to make a hole in the roof and get them out from there. Even though our numbers a very scarce, I believe that we can do this. From my reports that I got nobody got outside of the districts that were planned to fight in first." Erwin ordered. Damn. He must have planned this retreat before this time has come.

"Since when did you make such retreat orders?" I ask Erwin. I bet you he never thought of it until now.

"I thought of them yesterday, but I didn't want to call a retreat too early." Erwin answered back. Really? Exactly how did he prepare within such little time to even think it through? I don't even bother to ask why he didn't call it earlier. Must have been too busy.

As Erwin keeps talking, I look down at the titan that might have killed Levi and see that there is something trying to poke out. I give it a disgusted look as the stomach of the titan starts to glow pink. Hopefully someone will appreciate this information. Suddenly, it glows a fiery red. I look confused at what it might be. Then, something bursts out looking like a fireball that is soaring towards the sky. The thing is up in the air not looking like a fireball as I try to see who it is. As soon as I get a glimpse of it, the thing throws down a small ball of blue fire exploding on the ground which makes a phoenix arise from within the ball. The thing hides itself in a cloud of smoke as if it is a survivor. Fire erupts around as everyone looks over to see the great wall of fire surround us, making the roof we stand on the center of the circle. The fire suddenly turns blue, silver and black.

An inferno surrounds us on the top now. All of us go backwards so that we are back to back. The heat starts to exhaust me and makes me sweat. The sweat that already exists on me gets replaced by more sweat in larger droplets. Sweat races down my face and onto the rest of my body.

The sweat starts to dry on my body as the fire dies down and the fire over head disappears. Then the smoke cloaked person came into the wall and landed softly on the roof. As the smoked cleared, I could see that Levi had his swords in his hands with his left elbow covering his mouth and his right arm across his stomach. When the smoke clears, he puts his arms at his side and looks down at the ground for a second. I can see that he has the same kind of necklace as Armin, but it a nice blue sapphire dove that lays over his chest. The center of the dove glows yellow on the inside and an orange surrounding it on the outside. As he drags himself towards us as the inferno leaves and nothing looks to be ablaze.

A tear slipped down his face as I started to cry.
