Katie and Sam Jaxon were a very happy couple until Valentine's day 2002. Naïve 26 year olds looking for a bit of fun on their first official valentines day as a couple. By the end of the night Sam was drunk out of his mind. Katie was sober, she had not touched one alcoholic drink, the whole night all she had drunk was lemonade. Sam believed that he was drinking lemonade but to start off the night Katie mixed nettle gin in with his lemonade, on a ratio of 3 parts gin and 2 parts lemonade. Once Sam had become drunk enough that he would not know the difference, Katie gave him glasses of straight gin. This was part of her immoral plan...

The grandfather clock that stood in the hall, struck midnight. After the fifth strike she realised it was now or never. Sam had passed out, his body spread along the couch. This was the perfect opportunity for the callous woman to put her vile plan into action. She slumped him over her shoulder and dragged him upstairs ( hitting his head on each step) and violently threw him onto the bed. What happened after this moment is known to not a single soul par the person doing the violent deed and the poor innocent young man stuck in the middle of the tragedy.

The clock, that had now struck one, echoed through the house. The noise startled Sam and woke him up from his deep slumber. It then clicked what she was doing to the childlike man who was taught to hide his feelings and cover his emotions even in the most devastating or life changing circumstances. At this time society was more toxic than ever, men were seen as inadequate if they dared to show any emotions or feelings.

From that night onwards all Sam could think was 'I.. I should speak up but... but I can't because nobody will believe me... I'm a stupid man that let it happen to me its my fault and they won't believe me ... they will think I did it to her and am trying to find a cover story.. I can't speak up ... I ... I can't.'

Two months later Katie took a pregnancy test. The results were positive. She had to tell Sam, but how? What was she supposed to say? Just walk up to him and say 'Oh yeah, remember Valentine's night Well, I'm pregnant.' She couldn't say that it was too unceremonious.

Sam was sitting on the couch watching the Wimbledon championships men's singles final between Gordan Ivanisevic (who was from Croatia)and Pat Rafter (who was from Australia). He was desperate for Invanisevic to win as they both shared one thing in common. They were both Croatian. The first set was won by Ivanisevic 6-3. The second set one by Rafter 6-3. The third by Ivanisevic 6-3. The fourth by Rafter 6-2. Before the fifth set could start Katie burst out from the downstairs bathroom. With the pregnancy test clutched in her left hand behind her back. She sat down, eyes gleaming, lips shaking, now was the only chance to tell him.

"What do you want, there is only one more set?"

"It's just ... It's just ..."

"What"

"I'm pregnant"

"No... No your not pregnant"

"I am"

"STOP Lying"

"But I am telling the truth"

"How just how"

"Remember that night"

"What night"

"That amazing valentine night"

"That night was anything but amazing for me you"

"Well that brilliant night means we now have a child on the way"

"what"

"You're the father of my child like it or not"

"I might be the father but you are dead to me you cold-hearted bitch. God damn it, thanks a lot. I've just missed the fifth set and it was all because of you"
