Colourful fairy lights lit by the dark, hanging on each lamp post to another's. Peaceful ocean waves crashing on the shore back and forth, the noodle house restaurant was seated in front of the beautiful beach. With very few customers it was perfect to dine when you did not want many people around.
Akk's face applauds the appearance of the restaurant as it seemingly looked like something of a fairytale. Quite dreamy and aesthetically pleasing. His eyes widen keenly, observing the owners and the few customers left. "Wow..." he sang.
"Wait till you try their noodles. Then you'll be saying wow all over again." Ayan beams as he heard Akk. The two boys were soon met with their given orders of the same noodle soup. Awaiting, Akk turns to the ocean beside the table they were sitting at.
It matched the scenery perfectly. The night starry sky above them as the ocean waves were perfectly in synch to the ears. Ayan looks back at the ocean when Akk seems to be lost.
"I have a question." Ayan asks and brings Akk to look at him with a blank face. "Why does Yok never visit his family?"
Akk purse his lips into a thin line as he signs. Why did he think something terrible happened just now? The boy rubs the back of his nape before speaking. "Yok and I are adopted. He has a rough relationship with our adoptive parents." He explains.
"He moved out of the house at at sixteen. By the way how is Yok? I haven't seen him at all last week."
Ayan smiles. "You care for him a lot don't you?" The charming boy brought forward his face and lightly tucks the bangs flowing into Akk's eyes on the side behind the ears. "Yok is fine, don't worry. He's probably making out with his girlfriend somewhere."
"He has a girlfriend?" Akk repeats in a series of shock. Ayan raises an eyebrow. "What you didn't know? Yok really doesn't tell you anything ."
The grandma of the restaurant would jump in with two bowls set on the table. Authentic aromatic smell hitting the nostrils the moment it had been revealed, a sweet and spicy sensation bringing heaven to the stomachs by just a single look. Ayan licks his lips in awe before thanking the lady.
"Nevermind Yok for now." Ayan tells. "You should eat."
Akk sighs. "I hate it when you are right."
"Then you will hate me a lot darling." Ayan grins out as his fingers wrap on the metallic chopsticks, slurping on the warm noodles. Nothing is better than warm freshly made noodles. Akk clicks his tongue at Aye's words before eating his own soup, a soft satisfied sigh was left when he pulls away. He took a sip of the broth. The warmth from the soup will keep their bodies warm against the cold weather by the beach.
"Wow." Akk sang once again with a happy squeal this time, his body did a multiple shivers by how delicious the food was. Thankfully he tagged along, Akk was planning on leaving immediately but he is now really glad he did not. It is free food and the soup they have is high quality. Akk definitely will be coming here now as a regular.
Ayan smiles watching the boy. He no longer had the resting serious face that makes him look so gloomy and unapproachable. When Akk smiles it lights up the entire earth and Ayan's world. It was such a significance to see the complete different comparison between Yok and Akk. Akk wields the world in his hand as if he was the saviour for it. If anything could be a job Ayan would want to watch Akk do anything and he will be entertained.
The long staring carried on for far too long, because now Akk looks up to see Ayan daydreaming as he was watching him completely dazed and lovestruck almost. He leans closer clicking his fingers in front of the boy's face.
"Ayan. What are you looking at?"
He looks away shifting on his seat as he trails with his voice loudly. "Nothing. Daydreaming. Do you like the noodles?"
Akk nods as he pushed his bowl away after finishing it. He does the same and thanking the ladies with an extra tip to the money. The two boys walk alongside each other on the same road in the darkness, watching the stars from up above.
"Where do you stay?" Ayan would say as they walk side by side calmly. Akk looks down with a raised eyebrow. "Why? Will you stalk me?" Akk quickly responds back and Ayan rolls his eyes.
"Stalking you my ass." He jokingly shoves Akk, sharing a laugh together. "I was going to walk you home." Ayan points out seriously this time.
"I stay at my school dorms when i have school. But we are on holiday break so i am going to my parents." Akk softly trails as he tucks hands in the pockets.
"So not far from here?" Akk heard the boy say and he shook his head. "We live by the beach because my father is a fisher."
Ayan smiles. "I bet your parents are way better company than Yok." He'd banter out and Akk let out a small laugh. "Do you live with my brother?"
Ayan lightly shrugs. "Sometimes. That's why i was in his apartment that one time. But other times i stay with my mother."
The two boys made a way to a pathway down the road where a nicely built country house with a few modern pillars would be seen. By the ocean, single waves heard crashing nearby. Akk made his way to the front of the door before looking back where Ayan stood a far distance.
Somehow Akk wanted Ayan to stay a little longer, not only was it too late for anyone to be walking this late out. It surely wouldn't hurt inviting his brother's friend over right? Akk clears his voice, why did he feel shy and awkward asking a guy to stay over at his place?
It's not like he never asked Kan or Wat to stay over. He did many times invite them over the holidays. So why was Ayan a difficult question to ask?
"Ayan-" He calls out making Ayan stop. He turns around looking at Akk.
"It's too late for you." He rubs the back of his neck as he avoids eye contact to be made with Ayan. "You can stay over at my house for tonight."
Ayan's face went from unreadable to a wide smile flashing ear to ear.
