Powerful Heart (Arataki Itto x Reader)

Chapter 3

A girl with green hair in a pony tail wearing a mask that covered the lower part of her face entered looking right at you confused but shook it off, now looking at the oni who was smiling at her.

"So did you get your vision back?" she asked as she set down her bag and sat down on a chair. "Yep, and I met y/n who was also getting their vision back" Itto said as he looked over at you. "Ah I see, I hope Itto didn't cause you to much trouble when you met" Shinobu said as she looked at you. "Oh and I'm Kuki Shinobu by the way, another member of the arataki gang and the person who keeps all of these goofballs in check" she then said smiling at you from under the mask. "Nice to meet you Shinobu, Im y/n a new member of the gang I guess since Itto asked me to join" you said, smiling back. "It will be nice to have another girl around, let me know if you ever need anything" she said as she stood up, giving a small wave, then heading to another part of the hideout. "Now you just need to meet one more member and then you'll know everyone" Itto said smiling. You nodded when you heard footsteps from behind the couch suddenly. "Speaking of, here he is" Itto said as a little bull with a house looking thing on its back walked around the couch causing you to gasp a bit. "Meet Ushi, he's basically the mascot of the gang" Itto said proudly as he gave him a quick pet. You stuck your hand out as Ushi walked over and you couldn't help but awe at his cuteness. Ushi then jumped up on the couch, surprising you as he then laid his head down on your lap. "I think he likes you" Itto said, laughing a bit as you smiled and petted the little bull's head.

It was around noon now, and you were exploring the forest that surrounded the hideout. You hummed softly to yourself as you took in the beautiful scenery. Ushi was following you as he hadn't really left your side once he met you but you didn't mind as his presence was comforting in some way. The three boys that you had finally learned their names were Genta, Akira, and Mamoru were all in the city running errands with Shinobu and Itto had run off somewhere else when they left so you were all alone at the moment.

You then decided to head back to the hideout to get something to eat and as you returned you saw Itto sitting outside looking upset. You approached him confused, saying, "Hey Itto, you ok?". He was startled a bit and looked up at you saying, "Oh uh yeah! Just thinking that's all" he said as he rubbed the back of his head smiling at you. "Oh alright, well I'm gonna make some food, would you like some?" you said as you opened the door to the hideout. "Yes please" he responded excitedly. You both entered the hideout and you followed him to the makeshift kitchen they had and got all the food supplies they had at the moment. You looked at it thinking for a second and then decided on what to make. Itto watched as you cut some of the vegetables and put them together to make a type of salad with some fish you then fried on the side. As you turned to grab another ingredient, you hadn't realized Ushi was at your feet, causing you to trip and fall over letting out a little yelp, but before you could hit the ground you were caught by a pair of strong arms. You looked up to see Itto smiling, saying, "That was close, you ok?". You nodded as you stood up straight, looking at him. This was the first time you had really looked at him and he was a very well built man and was very good looking. You blushed, shaking your head a bit as you grabbed the ingredient and finished the meal.

You and Itto were now eating together outside under one of the trees with Ushi eating some of his own food off to the side. You guys chatted a bit, when Shinobu and the three boys finally returned, joining you under the tree. You gave them some of the food that was left over and once you were all done eating, Itto said with a smirk, "So what are we doing today gang?".
