Mother's Announcement

Laura's POV

Living with my mom is amazing she treats me well takes care of me and I get anything I want.

Even though I rarely see her since she has to always work I'm her only child so she tries to be there for me.

I don't know who my father is since I never met him but mother says he's a bad person and she left him when I was only one.

I guess it was for our own protection that she chose to make the decision to leave him. But I don't care about him at all since my mom's partner

Henry is already a father figure to me he met my mother when I was seven and he's been there for everything and loves me as his own.

Mother has returned from work but Henry is with her I guess he'll be joining us for dinner since I finished getting the table ready.

Laura I'm home and Henry is here with me she says! Hey Henry it's good to see you and my mother.

It's good to see you as well kiddo I really enjoy coming over to see my favorite two girls.

Well Laura the reason why Henry is here is because we have a big announcement to tell you and we wanted to know how you would feel about it.

I'm starting to get really nervous about what they're going to tell me?

Well Laura as you know me and your mother have been in a relationship for a while and you know that I love her just as much as I love you as my own.

So what I'm saying Laura is that me and your mother are engaged we're getting married Henry says.

What do you think about it Laura mother looks at me with a worried look on her face?

I love the idea that you guys are getting married besides I always knew you were the one for my mother.

As the two of you are always affectionate towards each other and I'll finally have a real father figure I say.

Well since you're on board with the whole marriage thing between us why don't we celebrate and I'll take you both out for dinner.

Since we can all celebrate this special occasion to my soon to be wife and soon to be daughter Henry says.

That night we left to go to the restaurant to celebrate I never would have imagined that my life would change.

Not because my mother was getting married but because of something else that night that happened when we would return from the restaurant.

What do you think happened that night when they returned from the restaurant?

Would it shock Laura or would it come back to haunt Anastasia since she never told Laura anything from the past?
