Anastasia's POV

I love Laura with all my heart but I can't tell her the truth about her real father.

He is a horrible man who killed the man that I loved years ago all because I rejected him when we met at the annual mafia ball.

I hated him since that night even more when I had to marry him and birth his sons who I despise.

But everything changed when Laura was born she was the only child I ever loved because she resembled me and nothing from that man.

I made the decision to leave Paulo but I wasn't going to risk leaving Laura in his hands since I knew the lifestyle that he lives.

I didn't want my daughter to live every day fearing that she might be killed.

I had a very large amount of money saved in my account before I ever met Paulo and so I used that money to give me and Laura a new life together.

When I met Henry he made me see the beauty in life again and showed love to Laura all these years that we have been together.

He made me forget all about Paulo and those little monsters that I call my sons but me and Laura are starting a new life with Henry.

And after we get married I'm going to legally change her last name so they don't find us and also Henry will adopt her as his own since he has no kids and Laura is the only teenager he has ever seen as his own.

It made me so happy to know that Henry does care about Laura. I've been in hiding for years from those men and I hope they don't appear in front of me and take away Laura from me.

I did tell Henry about Laura's father and brother's but I never told him about them being involved in the mafia.

He never left after I told him about them and he said that if they do appear that he will be right by our side and that's why I love that man.

As soon as we left the house to go to the restaurant I have this sense that something bad is going to happen.

I don't know why but I hope those men don't appear and get near Laura.

After we arrive to the restaurant my senses still haven't left and something bad is going to happen I just don't know when I'm trying to stay as calm as I can so Laura doesn't panic.

After we finish ordering our meals I notice Henry's hand on mine he does this whenever I'm nervous.

As much as I want to tell him what I'm feeling I don't want Laura to notice. A couple of minutes later our food is placed on our table and we ate our dinner.

Even though no one talked it was still a nice evening we had after Henry paid for dinner we left the restaurant to go home.

But I still had a feeling that something was going to happen as soon as we arrived home I got the chills and I didn't even want to go inside.

As I took the keys out of my bag I noticed that the door had been unlocked.

As I go inside the lights are all turned on and to my horror I come face to face with the men who I left a long time ago to never see again.
