good morning everyone welcome to another chapter of this; today's a little sad but if i'm in a good mood i might post again on friday, we'll see! anyway, enjoy :)
"Let's just do it now," Natasha suggests, "and then we go to the party."
"Can't we just do it tonight?" Wanda asks, adjusting the waistband of the pink tights that she's wearing, "It's not going to make that much of a difference."
"Yes, it is," Natasha retorts, "now, let me do it so that you can finish getting dressed and we can go to the party."
Wanda huffs, but moves the waistband out of the way regardless.
Natasha grabs the trigger shot and sets it up, and Wanda finds herself humming as her wife works.
Natasha grins, singing along, "Best believe I'm still bejeweled... when I walk in the room, I can still make the whole place shimmer..."
Wanda smiles softly, trying not to wince when Natasha rubs the cold alcohol wipe against her lower stomach. Natasha continues singing, pausing only to tell Wanda to look away.
"I could still say I don't remember..." Natasha does the shot, still singing as she puts a bandaid on it, stopping only to kiss Wanda, "That wasn't too bad, hmm?"
Wanda smiles softly, "I might need another kiss to truly decide."
Natasha laughs, "Okay."
They end up being a little late to the party.

Natasha's at work when Wanda decides to take a test.
Okay, it's not just a test; it's her fourth.
She can't bear to see the look on Natasha's face if it's negative again. And she's running out of patience so fast.
The doctors did tell Wanda that her chances of getting pregnant were slim due to her irregular periods and their lack of information on "special" beings and whatnot. Natasha thinks that it's probably horse shit, but Wanda's of the belief that they're biting off more than they can chew and should probably look at adoption.
Her fingers still shake, though, as she sets the test on the counter.
It can't be negative again. She knows that it's wearing on Natasha and that's also wearing on her, even without the abnormal hormones that have come from this irritating process.
She also doesn't think that she can do another round of IVF. It's exhausting. And she's been told that she's running out of eggs.
As the anxiety of the test swirls in her chest, she decides that she's going to leave the test for a few minutes and find something else to do before she loses her mind. There's a reason the saying "a watched pot never boils" exists, right? (Yes, she knows it doesn't fully apply but whatever.)
When she exits the bathroom, she sees Liho laid out on the bed and obviously waiting for her, which helps her mood a little bit. She distracts herself for a few minutes by giving the cat some scratches and it definitely calms her down a little.
Her mood isn't exactly helped nor hurt by Pietro calling in the middle of it, in an absolute panic about his girlfriend wanting them to move in together.
"I've seen your silly shows, Wanda, I know what happens when boyfriends move in with their girlfriends!" Pietro exclaims, "I can't throw away all of my stuff! What if she doesn't like my action figure collection?"
"You mean your collection of dolls of you?" Wanda asks, laying back on the bed and smiling when Liho curls up against her stomach, "She would be right to not like it. It's creepy."
