Senjuro , Muichiro, and Nezuko had been working on their raft for hours and the sun was beginning to set. All three of them were watching from their favorite spot, a low-hanging tree growing fruit.
"So, Nezuko's home is out there somewhere right?" Senjuro asked.
"Could be," Muichiro said. "We'll never know if we stay here."
"But how far could a raft take us?"
Muichiro merely shrugged. "Who knows? If we have to, we'll think of something else."
"So, suppose you get to another world."Nezuko began with a giggle.
"What would you do there?"
"Well, I haven't really thought about it," Muichiro admitted. "I always wondered why we're here on this island. If there are other worlds out there then why did we end up on this one? And suppose there are other worlds...Then ours is just a little piece of something much greater. So we could have just as easily ended up somewhere else, right?"
Senjuro looked down and hummed. "I don't know."
"Exactly. That's why we need to go out there and find out. Just sitting here won't change a thing. It's the same old stuff. So let's go."
"You've been thinking a lot lately, haven't you?" Nezuko asked.
"Thanks to you. If you hadn't come here, I probably would've never thought of any of this. Nezuko , thanks."
Nezuko smiled. "Your welcome."
As the three friends began heading home to bed for the night, Muichiro tossed Senjuro a star-shaped fruit from the tree they were on. The brunette looked at the fruit in confusion before slowly realizing what his friend was trying to tell him.
"A paopu fruit..."
"If two people share one, their destinies become intertwined. They'll remain a part of each other's lives no matter what." Muichiro said as he smiled. "C'mon, I know you wanna try it."
Senjuro stared at the fruit for the longest time before looking up at Muichiro and then pocketing the fruit.
"I want all three of us to share it...because you AND Nezuko are the most important people to me."
Muichiro chuckled as he ruffled Senjuro hair but deep down, the older boy felt touched that his friend would want to find a way to share it between all three of them.
