Leah

I screamed with excitement, ready to take on my last day of school, the day that I have dreamed of for months. My older brother, Matt walked into my room with a panicked look on his face. "What's wrong Tay?" He questioned. "Nothing at all, I just can not believe it's the last day of school." I grinned while giving him a big hug. He shook his head and walked out of the room as I crashed onto my bed, and exhaled happily. A voice came from down stairs, "hurry up, we're going to be late Leah!"

Matt and I rushed out of the door, and raced to the car, "shotgun!" We both called out. Yet he had already gotten to the front seat before me, and grinned with joy. The car abruptly stopped at the gates of school and a pit feeling came to my stomach. Matt and I hurried out of the car and approached the doors. As we were walking Tess walked up to Matt, "hey Matty" she said as she blew a bubble with her gum. Tess has been crushing on Matt since the 8th grade and needless to say is that I can not stand her. We used to be the closest friends, and then she completely cut ties with me. The frown on my face began to form noticing the two of them just talking and connecting, I don't get it, how can he talk to her knowing just how badly she has hurt me in the past?

I begin walking away when I caught a glimpse of piercing blue eyes, blazing their gaze onto my face. I further inspect him, he has a muscular build which is matched gorgeously with his tall figure and I can not take my eyes off of him, as if I am in a trance. I am pulled away from my thoughts from a tug at my hand. When I look to see who is disturbing me from my thoughts, I am greeted by my best friend, Scarlett. "Hi" She exclaims. We converse for a few minutes, but my thoughts are only about those piercing blue eyes, when I turn to find them again, they are no where to be found.

I race inside the house while screaming, "Freedom!" Matt rushes to shush me from yelling, "Mom is taking a nap be quiet." He threatens while he walks to his room and slams his door shut. I race up the stairs to my room and jump on my bed, I grab my phone to look at the time, 2:18 it reads, I set an alarm for thirty-minutes to doze off and take a power nap.

I am awakened by loud cheers downstairs. My eyes squint as I look outside, it's pitch black. My brain goes into a panic, I quickly grab my phone to check the time again 9:20 it reads. I groan and throw my head into my pillow, angry how my power nap suddenly became a whole night sleep worth, so much for having the best summer ever. I grab my phone off my nightstand again, with loads of messages from my friends asking me what I am wearing for the party tonight. I am so confused, what party are they talking about? I panic when I realize it's a party at my house, why didn't anyone wake me up for this so said party?

I race out of bed and prance towards the light switch to gain visibility. I look at myself in the mirror and gasp, I am still wearing the same outfit I had on for school, mom jeans, and a brown crew neck sweater. The mascara was rubbing under my eyes and the lip gloss I had earlier was not on my lips but instead it was on my pillow. I shake my head in disbelief trying to understand Matts logic behind not telling me about this party and not waking me up in time. I quickly call Scarlett and tell her what was going on, after gaining some comfort from her I quickly began to get ready. After about thirty-five minutes of despising everything in my closet, I finally managed to find a half decent looking outfit. I glance once again in the mirror, I look at my all black outfit, and smile in the mirror, if I had the smudged mascara under my eye bags like before I totally would look emo.

I walk slowly downstairs, unknowing of two things, what I will see and who I will see. Thankfully, I am greeted by Dylan, Matts close friends, he embraces me into a large teddy bear hug, which brings me comfort considering the situation. I walk through my living room with a struggle as it is crowded with people, did Matt invite the entire school? I secure my eyes on Matt and began to push harshly through the crowd, my body filling with anger with every stomp I take towards him. A deep voice stabs through my ears, "don't trip angel." I look to my right to match the voice with the face, and staring back at me are those piercing blue eyes.
