Chapter 16

(Darius)

I can't believe that I am really going through with this right now. But she has faith that she can beat me, so, what the hell.

It's been a pretty damn interesting few weeks. Having the girls in the house, Titus and Arla being all nice and secretive, Kenna spending time with Brant, and Bo... Well everything about her is something. After hearing that letter that her mother wrote before she had died, I am beginning to understand her more. Well not the fact that she is sarcastic as fuck and can go from bitch to bitchy in one sentence. That shit be scaring the hell out of people, but she seems to be calming down. One would say that she is taming her inner bitch. But I think that it is finally taming her.

Still haven't heard any word from her father yet, which is a good thing. We got everything out of the house on time, and Bo went to the bank to let them know that the house was empty so that the new owners could move in. But even then her father still didn't reach out. A part of me thinks that neither her nor Brant should be within a state line of Mr. Kern, because I have no fucking idea as to how either of them will react. When Bo's mother had said that Mr. Kern had called their house one day and said that Bo and I quote "never wants to speak or have anything to do with her," I saw that flash of anger in her brothers eyes, because I saw it in mine also. I mean yea, he probably ain't a fighter, but that don't meant that he don't know how to throw a punch or not.

As soon as I open the Men's locker room door, after being told that it was showtime, I spot Bo, Arla and Kenna. They stopped walking as soon as I opened the door. And I came face to face with that green eyed beauty, with a sharp tongue.

"Hey, good luck."she said, tightening her hand wraps around her wrist. She looks hot in her little fighting outfit showing off some of her ink. She has a tattoo of a dragon going from the back of her neck and then fading into the midsection of her back. She also has what looks like a tribal tattoo on her left thigh that has some writing in it that I can't seem to make out right now, mainly because my eyes don't want to leave her rack, Which are on full display right about now. Damn. Snap out of it, dude. You're going to fight her, remember. I hear my sub conscience say. Oh shut the hell up, you asswipe. I say with a scowl.

"Yeah, you too." I say and wait for Titus to get my hand wraps out of my gym bag. He went over to the girls locker room a few minutes ago to wish her good luck and then came back to help me finish calming down. I don't know why I am acting like this is a real fight anyway. It's just for bragging rights and to see which one of us will fight first during the tag teamed match.

As soon as Titus comes from behind me with my hand wraps; the girls continue to walk down the hall, and we fall in line behind them, until we reach the end of the hall. They only people that will be here tonight are the people that we invited individually and then all of the wrestlers and staff from the gym. Andrew didn't want the whole UFL to know anything yet. We still haven't told anyone but the other wrestlers about the tag team thing between Bo and me. This is going to shock the hell out of a ton of fans. Maybe even piss some of them off, but this is what's best for business. At least I still get to fight. Some people don't get the way the UFL works. The UFL is like wrestling, but we actually hit each other and don't go by what people tell us. We don't pick a number to see who is going to win. We actually have to fight and train our asses off to see if it pays off in the end.

I love what I do. It's what I'm good at. Well I'm good at drawing and painting too, but fighting is me. I may not have grown up around it like Bo, but after getting into trouble for fighting in school I found myself here with Andrew. I may not have any reason to fight, like those around me, but I have a family that I need protect, so that's enough.

"Alright, people. We all know the rules of the game, so I'm not going to bore anyone with them at the moment. So, let's get this started." says the announcer. I am standing right in back of Bo, and the girls, jumping in place. "First, we have the Queen of war, the Underground Fighting Womens Champion, that also fights men, apparently. Reigning from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Weighing at one-hundred and forty-five pound, standing five feet ten inches tall. I give you, Bo "Boudica" Kern." he says loud and clear. Then her music starts and people start to cheer. She really does have good music, I like Eminem and Lose Yourself is very energetic.

As soon as she makes it to the ring, Arla and Kenna go and takes their seats and the music stops playing.

"Here we go, bro." says Titus clamping a hand on my shoulder.

"And now, lastly, our very own, God of war, our Universal Fighting League Champion. Residing from Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Weighing at two-hundred and forty-five pounds of pure muscle, standing at six feet four inches tall. I give you, Darius "Aries" Strand." says the announcer and then One Step Closer by Linkin Park blares through the speakers making me jog in place.

"Let's go." Titus says clamping me on the shoulder.

I don't know what it is about hearing the crowd-even if its a little bit of people-chant your name. It gives me a sort of rush that I just can't seem to put a name to. All of the gym equipment was put away so that chairs could be put around the ring. There are about fifty people here tonight and only thirty actually work here. A huge amount of them are most likely some of Titus's friends and groupies. But as long as we got some money being put in the gym, honestly, who gives a rats ass.

Making my way through the crowd I can see that Andrew and Tony are both in the ring talking to Bo, while she jogs into place. I have never seen this place so empty but crowded on my life. The training mats are still on the floors since they are wrapped around the ring, breaking fighters falls, leaving them nothing but a soft pillow for them to fall upon.

  "You can do it, Aries..."

  "Yea, kick her ass, Aries..."

"Show her who runs this gym..." I hear people yelling out from the crowd as I grab onto the top rope and swing myself over landing on my feet in my corner of the ring. I'm not sure if I should be doing this or not. Like, what the fuck? I can't hit a fucking girl for one. I can't hit the girl that I helped take care of, for two. And I can't hit someone that is fucking living with me, besides my brother. I don't want to hear all the "Why did you hit me, I thought you were better than that Darius, I can't believe you would hit a girl." Oh and not to fucking mention that my sister most likely told our parents about this and they are probably going to have my ass turned inside out for going through with this.

Anyway, bringing me back to the here and now. As soon as I get in the ring my music stops and Andrew turns and walks over to me. I look over his shoulder to get a look at Bo and see that she has that devilish smirk on her face that she always tends to have on her when she is up to something. But it goes away as soon as she slips in her mouth piece I know that I can do this. We are wearing gloves for one and we aren't doing the floor work today since I am bigger than her, so just the regular punching and kicking.

"You ready for this kid?" says Andrew snapping me back to reality. Am I ready?

"Heck yea." I say with a grin and put in my mouth piece.

"Alright then." he says and steps out of the ring. Bo doesn't know what she has coming.

 And neither do I.
