Fragment n°???"So? How does it feel not to be loved by anyone?"
You flapped your arms furiously, kicking your brother with your foot, hoping he would release his grip, but he didn't. When your head came out of the water, a violent cough broke out as your chest burned. Your body was begging you to get rid of the water that was encrusted in your lungs, and luckily you managed to keep consciousness. Finally, your brother let go of your neck and walked away from you with his always superior air.
"A gift from our Archon, you? Don't make me laugh. You're so fragile even a slime could kill you."
You ignored his remarks, concentrating instead on your breath. The panic you had been feeling slowly subsided, trying to ignore the fact that he could have killed you if he wanted to. As your only defense, you curled up, leaning against the fountain that had almost been your passage to hell. Satisfied, Huo turned and continued on his way in the opposite direction. Several passersby had observed the scene, doing nothing, for fear that the son would ask his father to make them miserable. However, once your brother left, a young shopkeeper from the city approached you timidly and wrapped you in a very warm blanket. The little girl that you were let herself go in the reassuring warmth of the fabric, and, exhausted, dove into the arms of Morpheus.

The next day, you didn't dare to broach the subject of the reception with your superior, he was probably to consider this evening useless and boring given his reaction when he had read the letter. He was, as usual, complaining while the soldiers looked at him, embarrassed, not daring to say anything. This story of meteorites didn't amuse him enough, because he seemed genuinely bored. It was as if nothing interested him. Personally, the idea of doing something other than collecting money at first relieved you, but in the end, this story was beyond your ability and knowledge. Most of Scaramouche's subordinates spent their day watching the sky, waiting for any trace of meteorite, and the others closely followed the honorary knight and his friends, who seemed determined to discover the secret of these strange stars. After some research on this young man, you discovered his exploits in Mondstadt. This one tended to be in the center of the action, you envied him a little for that. However, this mania had caught the attention of the fatui and it was pretty sure that your superior intended to get rid of him on occasion.
Moreover, towards the end of the day, the Balladeer had left without much explanation with some of his soldiers, and had only returned a few hours later, looking upset. Meanwhile, a meteorite larger than the others had fallen from the sky, maybe there was a connection?
You waited until Scaramouche was isolated and calm to try to question him on what had happened, after all, it was better not to bother him when he was in this state.
He had sat in one of the main tents, as usual, and seemed to be deep in thought, without any outside distractions. Somehow he seemed peaceful, without that boring look he usually wore. It almost made you want to not show up, just stare at him without worrying about looking cheeky or getting hurt. You didn't hate Scaramouche, for you, the term "hate" could only apply to your parents, but that didn't mean you liked him either. Your boss was intimidating, obnoxious, and always making unnecessary remarks, but somehow you admired him for his ability to command respect and his power. If you had been like him before, you might have ended up differently.
"Do you intend to keep staring at me like a sicko or are you going to tell me why you're bothering me?"
You came to your senses quickly. The last thing you wanted was to upset him before talking to him, but it was a bit late for that now. You walked in front of him hesitantly, ashamed.
