Strangers

We were strangers
Before we met during winters
I was out in the cold
Drunk and felt like a loser
You walked up to me and gave out your coat
It felt warmer
I glanced at your cold gaze
You had a funny face
You looked like a joker
So many words I wanted to utter
But the silence seemed better
Thank you I whispered
I felt like a fool than a loner
We can't even have the chance to become lovers
Dawned on me we can't be together
Because we were strangers
