CHAPTER THREE
[four days later]
Isabella waited patiently for Connor to finish work before visiting him. They made plans before to grab dinner at a local restaurant, and Bella was growing restless in her hotel. She ventured out during the day, went to a few stores for a bite to eat, some clothes and then headed back to her hotel. Connor was able to text as he worked, which Isabella was glad for, she would've been going out of her mind with boredom if she didn't talk to anybody.As it neared four in the afternoon, Isabella decided to head out again, deciding to visit a few stores a bit out of town, but close enough to Connor's job. When he was finished, he could just pick her up on the street and they could go.
Placing her sunglasses on the bridge of her nose, the red head grabbed her purse and slung it over her shoulder before leaving the hotel. The cool breeze immediately made her inhale, her hair being pushed back from her shoulders. She smiled to herself, and began walking down the street.
She texted Connor to let him know she was going for a walk again, this time a bit further out than where his job was. His response came a minute later, making Bella grin.
Connor;
Hope you're not wearing heels! Stay safe, call if you need me for ANYTHING :)She knew what he meant by being safe, Connor had told her a few stories of what he had heard about women being insulted, sexually harassed or assaulted by men outside of those bars. She made sure in the back of her head to avoid those streets he told her about.
Isabella's first stop was grabbing coffee. After purchasing a cappuccino to go, she made her way to the GAP clothing store. Pulling open the door, she was quickly greeted by friendly women.
"Bonjour!" They called to her, one girl with brown hair waving from the register.
"Bonsoir!" Bella called back, a friendly smile on her lips. A cute, burgundy overall flare dress quickly caught the girls attention, steering her away from the cashier. She went over to the dress, finding her size and holding it up to her body. The dress came with a white knit top but in the mirror it looked stunning against her tanned skin.
Deciding to purchase it, Isabella looked around the store for another good twenty minutes, before buying the dress, some jeans, and ankle boots, before heading out.
Moving her glasses further up the bridge of her nose, Isabella was startled when a voice suddenly spoke her name.
"Ms. Belair?"
She came to a halt, twisting her head to look in the direction. A man stood in casual attire, his hands holding his belt loop and sunglasses covered his eyes. He wore a sweet smile before taking the shades off and Isabella noticed he had blue eyes that fit well with his brown hair and chiseled jawline. Her brows pulled together and looked him up and down.
