CHAPTER TWO
[12 days later]
Days passed by smoothly. Nothing exciting really happened in Paris, and Isabella never really had to panic about someone finding her there. Connor made her feel comfortable in his presence and she really got to know him well. His full name was Connor Grant Stevenson, he was twenty seven and worked in a small hardware shop just outside of Paris. He owned his own home, had his own Jeep and didn't own any animals, although he bragged about getting a dog to keep him company.Isabella had lied about her name, telling him her identity was Bella Oullet, she was eighteen and currently traveled on her own. Connor learned that she was quite shy, anxious and observant, sometimes moody and sassy. She currently resides in a hotel, which she didn't tell him which one, but she didn't have a license so she chose to walk everywhere.
On Thursday, Connor had invited Bella out for a stroll, hoping to stop at a few shops in town and then take her to see the Eiffel Tower. Bella couldn't turn down the proposal and dressed appropriately and comfortably, yet cute.
Isabella smiled as Connor walked towards her, carrying a single sunflower; her favorite. Her head tilted slightly and she made a small 'awe'. "Is that beauty for me?"
"Well, all my other dates canceled and you were the only one to pull through, so," he trailed off, teasing her as he waved the flower around.
She laughed, her mouth dropping open. "Oh, all your other dates, huh?"
"Don't sound so jealous, love. You were my first option." He handed her the flower, smirking as she rolled her eyes and took it from him gently, smelling the petals.
"I'm never jealous. But thank you for the flower."
"You're quite welcome. Are you sure you're going to be comfortable walking in boots all the way to the tower?"
"I've ran in heels for miles before, I think boots are the least of my concern," she sways on her tiptoes, adjusting the sunglasses on her nose. "Besides, if I get sore, I'm sure you can carry me."
"Oh, is that right?" Bella hums as Connor turns and they begin to venture down the sidewalk. She slips her arm through his after placing the flower in the side pouch of her purse.
"You're telling me, a man like you, can't carry a small girl like me?" She teases. Isabella was only five foot three, skinny, but had curves in all the right places.
"Would you like to test that, now?" Connor went to slide his arm around her waist and bent at the knees but Isabella gasped, let out a small yelp and pulled away from him, laughing.
