The Disappearance of Zeus

Chapter One: We Find New Demigods

Sariah and I were walking down the road when all of a sudden a load of monsters came out. They started to attack us. Thankfully we both had a sword and a shield. We unsheathed them and started swinging. I couldn't believe I had my girlfriend at the side of me fighting with all our force trying to get beyond them so we could protect the empire state building.

We finished killing the monsters. We ran towards the Empire State Building. We turned around and saw that we were outnumbered with monsters all around us. We didn't know what to do.We kept swinging our swords but it was no use they just kept on coming.

We saw that there were more people running to our aid. Sariah and I just kept slicing our swords till they arrived. We couldn't do anything. We tried to run but when we turned the monsters were behind us. We just kept killing them.

When the others came we started to kill the last of them. They walked towards us and said some things in a different language. We had no idea what they were saying. They put up a hand and made it in a follow me movement. We didn't care why they were doing it. We decided to follow them.

When we got to the place they wanted us to go we saw that it was on the bridge of the woods on a long island. They walked further and we followed. I felt my spine tingle. I don't know about Sariah but I'm sure that wasn't a friendly tingle. We continued on as we heard someone yell.

"Hey, How's the new comers?"

"We're good thanks for asking."

"Hey don't look so down."

I looked at sariah."She's not down," I said quickly.

She looked me straight in the eye and glanced like don't talk for me, I can talk on my own. She was down for some reason and I don't know why. She was happy when we were alone together. But, she wasn't happy now. I was right about ready when the horns blew.

"Time for dinner for you two. The camp director is gonna greet you by telling everyone you joined the camp."

"We didn't join. We were forced to come here. We liked it out on our own. It was actually fun, unlike staying in camp and not doing anything. We explored a lot. And we can't stay in a house because the monsters can go through anything."

"Not exactly."

"What do you mean?"

"You see this camp isn't a normal camp. This camp has a force field around it because Zeus didn't want our race to die off."

" But still even if there is a force field we can't stay in this camp all day long."

"Well if you don't stay you'll be ripped to shreds."

"I don't care. I have something I need to do."

"Well at least go into the big house and find out where you need to go."

"Ok fine. You need to show me where the big house is." I said with annoyance.

Sariah ran towards me. "Be careful we don't know if we can trust these people."

"I will Sariah. You too. I'll be back as soon as I can."

I walked with the guy towards the big house. We didn't say anything all the way there. When we got to the big house he told me to go towards the attic. I did what he said but I took the scenic route. I took a look inside the house before I went to the attic.

I went to the last room of the house.I peaked inside as I did in the other rooms. I saw someone at the window. He was still looking at the window and I heard him say.

"Welcome John, Have you been enjoying your stay?"

"Yes and how do you know my name?"

"I know everyones name in this world."
