Simba walked into the den with his father after a few needed moments after the stressful day in the graveyard. Simba was finally learning his place in the circle of life. He headed over to Nala, who was still awake, in a corner of the den.

"Hi Nala."

"Hey Simba. Get in much trouble?"

"Not too much, and I learned a thing or two."

"Like what?"

"Well, it's ok to be scared, it happens to everyone, even kings."

"Really? When has your dad been scared?" She mocked him sarcastically.

"Today." Nala's eyes widened.

"Really? Why?"

"He thought he might lose me."

"Wow..." She trailed off in amazement. She never thought kings could be scared.

"And I don't want to lose you either." Simba said looking into Nala's emerald eyes.

"Simba... Are you..." She got lost in his eyes. Her stomach churned and felt lightheaded. She suddenly knew what this feeling was, love.

"Will you go on every adventure with me, no matter how life threatening, so that I will never lose you?" He said in a softly. His answer was in the form of a hug he got from Nala.

"Always." Both then laid down, Nala's head on Simba's chest. Simba gave Nala a little kiss on her forehead.

"Goodnight Nala."

"Goodnight Simba." Both fell asleep, as if nothing would separate them.
