Shoto’s POV:
“Bye Kats,” I waved to him as I walked out the door.
“Whatever, just stay safe,” he yelled back. I nodded towards him and left. We worked at the same agency, although we both led it. It had many other people working at it, but that’s to be expected with both the #2 and #3 heroes. I was the #2 and Kats was the #3. Back in high school, we figured out that we loved each other and he confessed. Even though we were together, he still competed against me because I started getting stronger than him, resulting in me becoming #2 hero, which annoyed him. What annoyed him even more though, was Midoriya becoming the #1 hero. However, he stopped competing a long time ago, and he got his spot as the #3 hero. We soon got married, and got our own place together. I would say, life is good. I’m happy with the life I’m living, and I don’t want anything happening to it.
But that wasn’t the main focus right now. I was on my normal, boring patrol. Nothing ever happened, other than a bunch of people wanting an autograph or a picture. I didn’t mind the attention, probably because I didn’t get the best of it when I was a kid, but that still didn’t get rid of the fact that they were still sometimes annoying. Surprisingly today, there weren't that many people, which made me sigh in relief because I wasn’t in the best mood. I walked the streets, noticing less and less people, which made me a bit skeptical about everything going on. Normally this street was jam-packed, but somehow isn’t? I needed answers. Luckily, there were local bulletin boards with anything you needed to know happening around the area. I went over to it, scanning for any information that would be useful in this kind of situation, then, I saw it!
WARNING: Villains have been spotted in the area! They are known to be very dangerous and powerful. If any heroes find them, bring them in IMMEDIATELY! Civilians should stay in their homes at all costs. Remember to stay safe, and the news will notify you once the villains are caught.
‘I wonder how powerful these villains are. I mean, they can’t be stronger than Shigaraki like back in highschool… right?’ I thought to myself. That war sucked, but we also learned how dangerous real villains can be. After the war, some of our classmates even dropped out because they were too scared to fight such as Mineta, Hagakure, and Sato. I was always forced to be a hero, although I wanted to be on my own path, and that war helped me gain strengths. Touya also ended up surviving, and he also came back, which was amazing in my opinion. Our family was doing much better after that war, although my father retired after it all since he was getting too old to fight.
I patrolled a bit longer, not knowing what to expect. The flyer never specified when the villains were most active, so it was almost impossible to know when they would show up.
??? POV:
‘Ooh, this would be a great catch!’ I thought to myself. I started getting excited as I turned to Kurashi to tell him the plan.
“We need to get into positions NOW! The #2 hero would be an amazing catch, and it’d make us way more famous!”
“Are you sure you’d want to attempt that though? I mean, he is the #2 hero and he could freeze us at any time if we attempt anything.” I smirked, knowing what to use. I took it out of my pocket and showed him, making his eyes go wide. “Where’d you get that?”
“A nearby police station. They didn’t have that good of security. But what we do is you’ll make a sound like screaming or something. Him being a hero, he’ll come and look. I’ll hide behind that stack of barrels, and when I get the right moment, I’ll jump out and put the quirk-canceling cuffs around his hands so he can’t fight back. Once that’s done, you use this duck-tape to cover his mouth so he can’t scream. From there, it’ll be easy!” I was getting so hyped for this, and it seemed like Kurashi was with me on this, so we quickly got into positions and waited for the hero to walk by.
Todoroki’s POV:
Less and less people were showing up, which again, was odd because normally there were many people around here. I kept walking, not noticing anything out of the ordinary except for the lack of people in the area. They’re probably all scared of the villain, but I wouldn’t blame them. Everything was fine, not really anything else out of order or different-.
“HELP… anyone please… help,” I heard someone from an alleyway. I went closer to it, glancing inside to see if anyone was there.
“Hello? Is anyone there,” I called out. I heard crying in the shadows and darkness.
“Yes, please help me… I can’t get untied…” This made my eyes go wide. I took a step into the depths and darkness, stepping one after another. The crying was getting a bit louder with every step, although I could barely see anything-.
“HEY,” I shouted as I felt someone grab my hands. They brought them behind my back, in which I tried fighting back, although they put something around my wrists. I couldn’t bring my hands apart, so I assumed they were handcuffs, so I backed up a bit, about to freeze them but… no ice came. I tried again, but… nothing. I started getting a bit worried, not knowing what to do. I didn’t want to have to do this, but without a quirk or my hands, it was my only option. I turned around and started running, only to be tripped by the person who handcuffed me. Now, I am scared. He came closer, as I backed up, another one coming out of the shadows as I attempted to back up more, but couldn’t. The one grabbed my hair while the other applied duck-tape over my mouth, probably so I couldn’t yell. I tried backing up more but I was against the wall, so I couldn’t.
“Have a nice dream!” The one said while giggling evilly, as he put his fist up and had it make contact with my head, causing me to not see anything as everything around me went black.
