nerd a/n: LMAO U DON'T HAVE TO READ THIS BUT IT WAS INTERESTING 2 ME and maybe anyone else who don't already know russian history. the chart is kind of blurry & small but its a graph of alcohol consumption per capita in every country, ranked most to least. the survey was taken in 2019 and russia ranked 17th, which is a huge drop from the last time the data was taken! in fact alcohol consumption in russia dropped 43% from 2003 to 2016, when the government established a monitoring system for alcohol sales throughout the country, which drastically limited access to unrecorded drink. historically alcohol consumption has been extremely socially normalized in russia, leading to many health detriments, and leaders throughout its history (particularly in the soviet era) tried to establish limitations on it but this latest reform seems to have actually worked! the top alcohol consumption slots are mostly taken by other slavic countries but ireland & germany are also up there. so the answer is probably that a couple countries could out drink him YES.
