4 years passed.
"Miki, wake up honey, it's time for preschool" I whispered in my 4-year-old daughters ear. She groaned and got up and looked at me with a dirty look. "don't give me that look!" I giggled and tickled her, she went from tired-- to hyper. She got ready and everything. On our way there she asked me a question. "If you're my mommy, were is daddy?" She asked. I started tearing up a little, she was a really smart kid. "He got shot a couple minutes before you were born.." I sobbed. She looked down and twirled a string on her shorts. "Oh." She sighed. When we got there I walked her to her class and kissed her on the cheek. "I love you baby" I whispered. She kept hugging me then went to her class. My BFF walked up, aka the teacher. "Hey Meana!" She said hugging me. "What's up, Noreena!" (nor-e-nuh) I said.

I was swimming in the ocean until I found my mermaid BFF'S house. I swam in. "OMG GIRL YOUR TAIL IS AWESOME!" She squealed. We were completely different, but still best friends. She was quirky and silly. I am smart and funny/adventures. "Thanks I just added blue diamonds to it, it goes GREAT with my hazel tail" I said, kind of loud. "I have a question" she said, changing the subject. We sat down on her rock couch. "Ow!" I whispered. "what's wrong?" She said. "Just a little cut on my scale, nothing to worry about." I explained. "Ok, anyways..." She gulped. "I hope you don't get upset, but.. If you are a mermaid, and your husband was a fairy, is your daughter a mermaid or fairy?!" She asked. "cause I only saw pictures of her" She whispered. "I'll have to check mermaid. Cause if she is a fairy, she would have started growing her wings by now." I explained. "Hmm." She said. I got up n checked the time after a while of silence. "Oh! It's time for me to pick up Miki! By the way, it kind of did upset me cause I hate being reminded of.. you know who.." I gulped. She sighed then waved. I swam off and picked up Miki. "Mommy guess what!" She yelled. "Shh, and what!" I kind of yelled too. "My teacher said I can perform for the preschool graduation on Sunday! I will sing the song made by my teacher "Learning to fly" Please mommy! PLEASE!" She squealed. I thought for a moment. "How much does the costume cost?" I asked. She checked her paper. "$41" she said. "Oh why not!" I said. "Practice is after school tomorrow and Friday at 6:12" She said. "Ok buckle up!" I said. she hopped in her car seat in the back and buckled. We drove home.
