Day 14 Of The Spring

I was never too much to handle.
But when the spring came, and the autumn left.

Plenty of leaves left me tangled
It intensified the flame, and I was baffled.

That peony never did flee my basket but it withered throughout the summer.
I came back hoping I could make it warmer.
It lost its light and got gloomer.

The withering I thought wouldn't last overnight
But it shivered in just one bite
It probably lost its ability to show colors

And lost its survival instincts as it stores.

Its petal, one by one, falls throughout
And the beauty of it faded
The smell of attraction was forbidden
To pry one's predator to its lid

This happened the day I tried to revive it. I got confused and wrapped up it all in just one roll. I never thought something would be happening the next day overnight.

That something could all possibly happen in just one night.

That's what I thought...
