In a little village far away from city's and towns, deep in nothing but mountains and forests and rivers and swamps, a young man by the name of Damien lived in a little cottage with with family. He was only 17 but was planning on buying a little peice of land near the small village where he planned to build a local farm. He also had an older sister, about 22 years old who occasionally visited the family house. She was happily married to a rich man in another town a good 300 miles away from where the village was, as of such they never really saw her much after she moved in with her husband. Damiens aunt also lived with them as she ended up homeless from gambling to much on the local horse racing. Now the reason why this village was so unknown with only a population of around 200 is because of two reasons.
The first being that the getting to the village would mean you would have to travel for miles and miles through forests and big hills and around large mountains, some of the forests were very big and easily lost. While there was a pathway through it all, it was still seen as a big risk. Now this particular area that this village was in was very beautiful and full of wild life. Horses, cows and sheep roamed the great valleys of fields and hills. The area was perfect for farming livestock and the ground could be easily farmed for vegetables. Yet despite these pros almost everyone will never set foot on this gigantic land, and for a very valid reason. In the deepest of the biggest and thickest of the forests, far from the pathway, there live giants. Humans that are nearly as big and tall as a 2 story house. These giants are infamous for having a reputation of devouring humans, as such humans and giants have never once been in peace with each other. Giants live all over the world but this place is notorious for thousands of giant sightings and many have gone missing and never been found. Many remains of decreased people have been discovered and are still being found, and to many its obvious why people are going missing. Those Giants. Atleast that's what many think is what is happening. Sometimes the village preform rituals of some sort so that the giants never encounted the village and destroyed everything the civilians worked for. However Damien had always been very intrigued by the Giants as he had never seen one before in person, one of his friends claimed they found abunch of big footprints in the forest but Damien never knew if he should believe his friend. One day Damien sat down at the dinner table with his mother, father and aunt and they all began eating their dinner, beef and mashed potato. Damiens favourite.

"So when do you think you'll be setting up your farm Damien?" Damiens mother "Janet" asked.
"Oh soon I hope, but it'll probably take a while to get things up and running." Damien said while shoving peices of beef and mashed potatoe into his mouth.
"Ya know my grandfather had his own farm, I remember going over there to visit with my father years ago when I was just a little nipper." Damiens father "Bill" added.
"Really?" Damien asked intrigued while cutting into the meat on his plate.
"Oh yes, it was a nice little farm to. Made some good money on that land."
"Well what happened to it?" Janet asked.
"Ohhh well apparently some hurricane blew it down a good decade ago, the remains were cleared to be used for other things and now all that sits there is some windmill that they built some time ago. Shame really." Bill grabbed his glass cup from the table and poured himself some whiskey.
"Oh Bill what did I tell you before?!"
Both Janet and Bill both said in sync "No driving alcohol at the dinner table" Janet said in a serious tone and Bill said it in a more annoyed and mocking tone.
"Oh look Janet its just some whiskey, you know I have a high tolerance for alcohol!" Bill tried to reason with his action of drinking.
"You know I do not like you drinking infront of Damien!"
"Mam I'm 17 I know what alcohol is!" Damien exclaimed with throwing his arms of in the air in an expression of disbelief, but Janet just rolled her eyes and started at her plate to focus on eating and Bill went back to drinking his whiskey. After the there was a long awkward pause at the table until Damien realised that his Aunty "Thelma" wasn't home which was unusual as she was always at home, usually knitting something.
"Hey, where's Auny Thelma?" Damien asked.
"Oh your aunts gone to night out with her friends. Dunno what they're doing."
Janet answered while taking a sip of water from her glass cup.
"But she's like 45 years old!" Damien exclaimed in a confused manner.
"Oh don't be so silly, even in your 40s you can still have some fun."
"Well she's always been quite a miserable cow, so I can't blame ya for being so surprised." Bill said while laughing, Janet took the table cloth and smacked Bill on his arm.
"Don't you be so horrible!" Janet yelled.
"Oh what? It's true!" Janet had enough of Bill's dumb jokes and so got up hastly and went to the kitchen to go wash her plate. Damien then placed his plate in the middle of the diner table and headed upstairs to his room. He got changed out of his clothes and laided on his very uncomfortable bed and stared out of the window and into the dark sky that was polluted with bright shiny stars. Damien began thinking of how he really wanted to see one of those Giants,  he had heard so much about them but never got to see one in person.
"Oh well, don't matter..." Damien thought to himself, before looking directly at the ceiling while still laying on his bed. Then he suddenly hearded his mother yelling from downstairs
"Damien, your gonna have to go to that Well, we are running low on water!" Damien groaned to himself, 'that Well' was an unknown Well that was still in good condition that Damiens father had found. There was a main Well in the village but that cost money to use, this secret Well was seen as a free option for water and Damien had to go over there with 2 buckets and go fill them up and bring them back to the house. The Well was miles away from the village and there was no straight path, the only way to get there was by walking through dense forests and fields.
"Alright mam!" Damien yelled before planting his head into his pillows and started to drift off. Knowing the next day he would have to travel a long distance from and back to the village, all because his parents didn't wanna buy it from the Well in the village. "Happy fucking hooray..." Damien quietly said with his mouth being covered by his pillows.

It will be a tiring day for Damien tomorrow...
