It was noon, the sun was setting and Mel was painting the sunset looking off at her balcony. She heard someone behind her and turned quickly to see her boyfriend Viktor sitting on the nearby couch.
"you're home early," she said in a low hum continuing to paint.
"I wanted to be home in time to see your art."
"See my art or see me?" She smiled setting down her paintbrush and looking over at him.
"You called my bluff, I just couldn't be without you." He chuckled getting up. He limped across the room to put his arm around her waist. "You know, our anniversary is coming up soon. Jayce has been working late nights and I was thinking we could do something special for him."
"Oh? Like what?" She asked looking down into his eyes.
"Like, I want to give him something, something to celebrate all of us. Something he can have to remind him we love him. I was thinking like a painting?"
"A painting? Do you even know how to paint, or will I be responsible for it all?"
"While I may not be able to paint, I can draw. I could help you design it. I want it to be personal to all three of us."
"I have some ideas." She said picking up her paintbrush.
*Time-skip*
The two stepped back from their masterpiece after days of designing, painting, and hiding it when Jayce came home it was finally done. Today was their anniversary and it was finally time to reveal it.
When Jayce got home Viktor and Mel greeted him at the door Viktor was holding flowers that he handed to Jayce. They were blue and yellow the same kind of blue you'd see from Hextech and a yellow matching that of the sun.
"Happy one-year anniversary!" The two said Viktor leaning forward to kiss Jayce and hand him the flowers. He took them delighted but then Mel stepped behind him and put her hands over his eyes.
"We have a surprise for you but we have to guide you to it," Mel said.
"Alright, lead the way." Said Jayce slightly confused but also smiling with the comfort of his partners around him. Viktor and Mel smiled at each other as they brought Jayce into the living room. Mel continued to cover Jayce's eyes while Viktor walked across the room to uncover the painting. He pulled down the tarp and Jayce felt the cold air that it fanned out.
"What is it?" He asked.
"You'll see, just one moment." Said Mel. Then it was on full display and Mel moved her hands from his face. It was beautiful. The painting was of Mel and Viktor's hands outlined in a galaxy holding a Hextech crystal with a heart chipped onto it. Jayce was at a loss for words. He felt himself tear up a little before hugging both of his partners and kissing them.
