Revati refused to narrate the love story of Chitra and Arjun even after Abhijith's request.
" That's not that much fantasy one Aliyandre. Infact we fear if your learn certain things now it may harm your life with my kid in future so I better chose silence" Revati declared.
" Atte! Won't you trust me? I won't let anything of these stuffs to create difference between us. Please tell me atleast in short" Abhijith requested.
Revati gave a helpless look to Vatsala. She smiled gestured her mother to tell.
" I don't want to elaborate. Viru was an year old baby when Ananthu brought his friend Arjuna to our house. Arjun actually had an habit of spending few months in different places and learning their culture and so he came to our house. There Chitra and Arjun started building feelings for each other. But unaware if this Mavaiyya fixed her marriage with Chandra Shekhar, that teacher of village high school. " Revati said.
Abhijith remembered his talk with Chandrashekhar when he along with Dhruva went to see the school. He was literally a good man with great knowledge but little proudy kind of guy.
" Till the last day of engagement they kept quiet. Right few minutes before Nishchay muhurta she confronted Mavaiyya( Narasimha Gowda) and Vatsu's father about her love for Arjun. All guests were there present our respect was at stake. Mavaiyya and Vatsu's father denied. But your parents were all set for elopement. Anantha was off for town to purchase something for Leela. But they were trapped before crossing the village and in that argument..." Revati hesitated to continue.
" Atte please" Abhijith pleaded.
" You father was injured. You must have seen the scar on his chest right? That was actually done by Mavaiyya. Later on Chitra was angered she just scolded us for not supporting her and hurting Arjun and they refused to get back with us which pushed Mavaiyya to depression. Ananthu admitted Arjun to hospital and yeah they married and that's all. As expected our relatives and Chandrashekhar's family taunted Mavaiyya for Chitra's elopement and those things haunted him always and left us one day." Revati sighed.
Abhijith had mixed feeling. He didn't knew how to react.
" Why did you wished to know this?" A part of him questioned.
Revati cursed herself for narrating everything.
" Now I think I myself spoiled my daughter's life " She thought.
Vatsala touched his shoulder but Abhijith just gave a smile and walked back to the house.
" Amma " Vatsala turned to her mother nervously.
" Relax, he is disturbed " Revati said.
" But Amma I felt different. I am scared " Vatsala gulped.
" Calm down he learnt what happened with his parents. May be disturbed with that. Do not worry. Even if he is angry with you because of this story that can't stay for ever. Remember Husband and wife fights are only until they go to sleep" Revati giggled.
