Chapter One.

Entry Exams To Medical School.

Armaan was ready and nervous about the entrance exam she would be attending in half an hour. It was one of the most important requirements for her to gain entrance to her dream university.

But her father Fahd wasn't letting her go without giving her a call to ensure that she was alright.

Even though he disliked the fact that Armaan chose to stay at the hostel instead of at home with them.

"Dad, I will be fine. Plus, it's the entrance exams that I have been studying for and now I have to go and take it so that I will get entrance to my dream university...."

"I know, Aru but I am still worried about you staying in a hostel when you could just stay home with us," Fahd explains to his daughter who just shakes her head knowing how overprotective he is toward her.

"Dad, I am not staying alone. Besides, I am staying with Inaya, who is studying business administration and you have known her all her life. Now, I need to hang up and get ready to go to the hall. And one thing Dad, I love you so much and you are always going to be my hero", Armaan tells her father who can't help but smile on the phone.

"I know but I am still worried about you and I love you too habibty", Fahd tells his daughter.

After hanging up, Inaya looked at her best friend with love in her eyes knowing that Armaan had found the best father that she wished she had.

Inaya hasn't had the best life that Armaan had. She didn't feel any envy or even jealousy because Armaan had always treated her like a sister rather than a friend.

"Hey, are you alright?" Armaan asks her best friend. "I know what you are thinking, but always remember that you are always welcome to stay with us at home. Mum and Dad will always welcome you with open arms. And always have patience that Allah will always be there with you", she added, hugging her best friend.

"I know that. But you need to get going and so do I. I still have a morning class and I wonder why I registered for a class at eight instead of eleven. Now I will have to suffer the consequences", Inaya tells her, making Armaan laugh.

"Okay, but don't worry you still can change your classes later on. But for now, I need to go before I miss my place. Love you sis. Take care and say hey to Emad..."

"Aru...."

Armaan walked out laughing while leaving her best friend yelling after her. But what she didn't expect was to run straight into someone.

A guy.

"I am sorry...I didn't see you," Armaan tries to apologise to him but all she gets is silence.

When she looked to see who it was that she had run into, she could only see his back walking away from her.

"Idiot".

Breathe Aru. This has always been your dream and no one can take that away from you, not even the memories of him. He is in the past and that's where he belongs.

Armaan quickly walked into the hall and found her seat which unfortunately was beside the guy that she ran into in the hallway.

"Okay, this will decide whether you will be qualified to be in Shehzad University and you will have two and a half hours to do the exams. Good luck and you may start as soon as you hear this bell", the organizer tells them.

As soon as the papers were being distributed, the students started writing on their papers.

Ya Allah, this is for Yusuf even though he forgot about me. And most importantly this is for my parents. I wish to make them proud of who I will be.
