his style has changed a lot over the years, going from colorful, loose clothes to tighter, more neutral colored outfits as of late.
PERSONALITY
just like his style, everything about him has changed over the years. sure, his selfishness and ego has always shone through, but it used to be hidden better. he's never been very talented at singing, so his charm in the group STRBRRY came from his expressive dancing, pretty face, and faux friendliness with fans and the media.
things were always a bit messy in the group, as haneul was quite stubborn about certain things. he normally seemed to be the victim, the industry and fellow members always in the wrong. as a group , they seemed to be the perfect mix, even with all the cracks in plain sight. as the years went on, the group became old news, their style of music going bland.
that was until they rebranded a year later, going for a more edgy, mysterious aesthetic. they blew up again with a new album, cloud shadows (구름 그림자 ). haneul especially fed into his new persona, letting his real self shine a bit more. sure they were a little superficial, but it sold.
as soon as their popularity died down, haneul quit. everything was too stressful for him and the media was too nosey. he'd been in more than five close calls to ruining his entire career, and he was tired of it.
moving to a different part of the city, he almost disappeared completely from the media's eye save for a few interviews and photoshoots.
POSITIVE TRAITS

very selfish. if things don't go the way he wants them to or onot in his favor, he'll get into a bad mood and in his earlier years whine about it. he doesn't really care if people around him are pushed down as long as he is put up. he knows how to manipulate things out of people, talking for hours to get his way.

HISTORY
when he was young, his parents pushed for him to achieve larger things, to be a scientist, an engineer, anything that was a respectable career.
though he tried, haneul only got passable grades. his interest was in music, not equations. his mother tried to discourage him, telling him to try harder, work longer.
due to this, he didn't have a very good relationship with his mother. even his father was quite distant when he needed him most.
he tried branching out, experimenting with dance, photography, and writing. his mother was oddly enthusiastic about his interest in dance, pushing him to do more.
finally getting her approval on something he kind of enjoyed, he pushed himself more and more. but his heart wasn't in it.
soon he was recognized locally and quickly picked up by larger production companies. he hated every second or rehearsal, every stare that was directed at him. but still he danced, still he acted.
when he was chosen to be part of STRBRRY, his parents were overjoyed. their son was finally successful, they could finally feel accomplished.
at first everything was fine, his mask firmly in place. but every rehearsed step he took, every note that left his mouth was tainted with the undertones of hate and bitterness.

HOW THEY BECAME 'CANCELLED'
Haneul had always been a little controversial, snapping at reporters, fellow members, and fans alike. he was known to throw fits and talk for hours just to get his way. he always seemed to be a victim.
online, he'd spread false rumors about the other members, usually petty things. but one thing led to another, and a small rumor about one of the members led to a whole police investigation.
along with the fact that haneul left the group, everything fell apart at once, marring his reputation.
WHY THEY JOINED THE SHOW
haneul would never admit it, but he loves attention. hates the media, but loves the feeling of a thousand eyes trained on him. joining the show would put him in the spotlight again, and maybe he'd be able to repair old damages.
THEIR INTENTIONS
haneul is also very lonely. not that he'd ever admit it, but sometimes he just feels bored with life and people. of course, he's mostly there for attention and money, but a possible hookup doesn't sound too bad to him.
