.*New Meetings*.

The service finally finished and you grabbed all your things and proceeded to rush to the door.
You suddenly feel a hand on your shoulder. You freeze for a second.

"Are you ok?" A voice, it had an slight Italian accent

'shit shit shit'

"Oh yes I'm sorry, you startled me." You manage to get your words out finally

"I don't believe we have met?" He questioned raising an eyebrow "Are you new around here?"

You start to panic and decide to be straight forward and tell the truth.

"Well i was just looking for somewhere warm. You see i just left home and needed somewhere to stay. I'm sorry I'll go-"

"You needed somewhere to stay? Why would you leave if you have nowhere to go?" He looked sincerely and pulled you to the side out the way to everyone.

"Uh well you see i was kicked out by my sister. Anyway I just need to go find somewhere for the night."

"We have a job opening, it'd provide a place to stay, free of charge along with anything you need." The man blurts out, he quickly covers his mouth

"That's a very kind offer sir but I've just met you and I'm not sure." You stumble over your words, you wanted to say yes straight away but you were cautious.

"Call me Copia please, and come on please I can't let you go out there for the night it's blizzarding." Copia said now genuinely concerned for you. He was right the weather took a turn for the worse. He also gave you an escape from being homeless.

' fuck it ' you thought to yourself and smiled.

"Fine you win I'll come, y/n by the way." You felt a surge of relief after saying this.

You spoke for a few minutes while the things in the masks packed their things up.

"Hey uh if you don't mind me asking who are they?" You ask Copia nodding your head towards the creature.

"Ah the Ghouls! They help out with certain tasks, you'll get a proper introduction to everybody once we get to the ministry."

Ghouls, hm weird. Their presence was both comforting and intimidating at the same time.

Once everything was packed away you followed Copia to a limousine. A man opened the door and Copia let you go in first, he followed, followed by the Ghouls. The drive to the ministry was short but felt like an eternity with the Ghouls staring at you. Copia tried to make you feel better but you felt uneasy.

You pulled up to a huge castle looking building. It was all very overwhelming it was now 9pm and pitch black. You felt like hell. Copia helped you out and he led you to the two grand wooden doors.

You walk in and it's one of the most beautiful places you have ever seen. It was just outside of the town and out of sight which did make you a bit nervous. The Ghouls put their gear down and stared at you once again.

"Do you want to be introduced now or later?" Copia asked, he could tell you were tired.

"Let's do it now." You say, you wanted to get to know them and for them to stop staring as you as soon as possible.

"Little dude! Your first."

The Ghoul who was only slightly taller than you walked over and stood Infront of you and stared yet again. He was stood up straight with his hands behind him. He smiled at you finally and put a hand out. You slowly put a hand out and he shook it.

"I'm Dewdrop." He said. The name fit him perfectly and yet not at all.

"Y/n, nice to meet you." You say smiling at the Ghoul and then the rest of the Ghouls

The next Ghoul who came up was a taller one who was quite buff came up next. He was in the middle of eating a banana. He realised he should put the banana down to shake your hand but panicked and handed you the banana.

"I'm so sorry, that's embarrassing I'm Aether. I- can I just take that back." You happily handed the banana back and he scurried away embarrassed.

You look at Copia who looks just as confused as you by what just happened.

Next was a VERY tall Ghoul. He smiled as he walked over. He tried to stand to make himself seem as small as possible.

"Mountain." He reached his hand out and you shook it. He had a comforting presence about him.

"Nice to meet you." You smiled at him

Next up was a Ghoul you saw dancing away in the back during the show who had amazing vocals.

"Hey I'm Swiss!" He said excitedly "It's nice to have a new face around here!"

"Thank you.?" You reply awkwardly, you were tired and didn't quite know how to respond.

Four Ghouls were left, 1 with the same masks as the others and 3 with a more feminine version.

The last one with the same mask walked over almost timidly. You could tell he was nervous, you knew how he felt as you too were full of nerves and you weren't quite sure what you were doing here.

"I'm Rain." He said he had his hands clasped together fidgeting nervously.

"Its nice to meet you Rain" You try to say it in the most comforting voice you could gather at that moment in time.

The 3 that were left came over together excitedly, they near enough ran.

"Oh my Satan, Hi!" One said

"She's even cuter up close!" Another squealed

"Please give her this job" pleaded another to Copia.

You smiled at their enthusiasm and looked at Copia who smiled too

"Well the job is up to her I've offered it" Copia reasoned, "These here are our lovely Ghoulettes"

"I'm Cumulus!" Said the first one excitedly almost jumping up and down in joy shaking your hand

"Oooh me next! I'm Cirrus, so nice to meet you" she said with as much enthusiasm as the other

"Move my turn!!" The last one practically shoved Cirrus away, she grabbed your hand shaking it.

"I'm Sunshine!" Said the last of the Ghouls and Ghoulettes.

"It's so nice to meet you three, you all seem so nice!"

"Can we hug you??" Cirrus asked.

You nodded and with that all three near enough launched themselves at you giving you the most comforting Hug you had experienced since your mum.

When they finally let go they went off.

"So what do you think of them?" Copia asked laughing at the scene that had just happened.

"They're certainly something but they seem really nice." You respond

This chapter ended up coming to 1126 words I'm enjoying writing this so far, it may not be the best but it's my first fanfic I've written.
