Xarious was sitting at lunch when his twin sister comes bouncing through the cafeteria. He didn't seem to notice her exotic expressions as she sat down in front of him. All though he was a star athlete and top student he was often found hanging around the library alone or anywhere with a book in hand. He loved to read and get lost into the world's of fantasies. One of his favorite books was Lark Rising by Sandra Waugh. His favorite character would be the main Character Lark. He was in fact reading the book for the 10th time since he had gotten it.
"Uuh earth to Xari!" Zurious had yelled slaming her hands down on the table. That made Xarious jump five feet in the air. He looked at his sister with utter  disbelief and sighed
"You know not to fare interrupt me when I'm reading a good book Zuri. It's a rule of the bookworm world." He spoke while scoffing. It wasn't fully true that it was a rule but he loved to mess with his sister when ever he could.
"No it's not and you know it! It's a lie! Zurious yelled for the whole cafeteria to hear. People whent quite and starred at Xarious and Zurious. Xarious just starred at his sister as well. But after a few minutes he started to chuckle.
"What are you laughing at you dingus?" His sister had cocked her head to the side and couldn't help  but be confused to her brothers actions and why he was laughing
"It's nothing Zuri. Don't worry about it." Xarious had spoken once he calmed down from the laughing fit he had. He had to admit he loved how his sister couldn't care less of what others thought of her. In reality he was totally insecure of what others thought of him. He was afraid that he would let his family down and let his friends down. Witch is why he was on the Varsity football team and basketball while his sister was in art and volleyball as well as becoming a strong-willed author. She already had books written and published. Their futures had a strong start. With these two having full ride scholarships with in their reach. But all of that could be stripped away from him with in a blink of an eye if people found out his secret. And that secret being....well.. he's gay. He found out he was gay with his ex-girlfriend Ruby. But when he talked to Ruby about she was so supportive for him.

Flashback:

Xarious was walking through the school walls trying to find his girlfriend Ruby. He needed to talk to her about something rather important. Once he found her he smiled when he saw her with Zurious. He loved the fact that they got along so well. But his smile once faded when he remembered his task. He walked up to the girls.
"Hey ladies. Mind if I talk to Ruby for a minute Zurious? It's rather important that I do.." He was anxious and was hopping from foot to foot. He often did that when his anxiety was high.
"Of course! But don't keep her for to long. I need help with my project for Art" Zurious said with a smile. Xarious nodded and grabbed Ruby's arm and led her to an empty classroom. Once they arrived and entered he closed and locked the door.
"Hey Xari.. what's wrong? You're really anxious. I've never seen you this way before" Ruby said as she walked over to Xarious.
"Look.. I don't want to this but it's what is right." He spoke after taking a deep breath. Ruby looked at him with a confused look
"I need to tell you this because I care about you and I care about your happiness.. but I don't feel the same as I did when we first started dating." He began to explain to Ruby.
"Is there another girl?" She asked in a calmly way. She was upset that she was having her heart broken but was relived that her 'boyfriend' was taking to her about it instead of going behind her back and cheating on her
"No. No other girl. " he said as Ruby sighed in relief.  "But that's just the thing though. I don't think that I like girls at all.. I think I might be gay.." He confessed to Ruby. Ruby just stood there blinking. "W-what?" She asked slightly confused
"Y-yeah.. I might be gay.. A-are you mad? You have every right to be mad and upset.." He said in a quite soft tone that couldn't even be heard over a pen drop.
"Of course not Xari. I'm just shocked. I never thought that you would be gay.. Am I the first one you told?" She asked as she stepped back and leaned up against the desk. Xarious didn't say much except noded at his question.
"I accept you for who you are. And thank you for telling me. And if we're being honest with one another I might be lesbian. I was afraid of telling you and your reactions but as seeing as you are gay I thought why not let it out" She said looking down at her feet. She was happy for Xarious truly happy for him. And he was just as happy for her .
"That's great Ruby. I'm happy for you. And thank you for accepting me for who I am. And just know that I accept you as well." Ruby smiled and steped close to Xarious and threw her arms around his neck hugging her. He gave in and hugged her back tightly. They hugged other for a long time. Once he let go of her he turned around to unlock the door and turned to face Ruby.
"So is this us ending things on a good note..?" He asked as Ruby walked past she nodded "Yes. This is a good ending for a relationship. I'll see you around.. gay bestie"

End of flashback.
