The Happy Unicorn

Chapter/Part 3

It was standing there..I saw a horse-like thing.. I couldn’t see it very clearly, It was the hallway, In the shadows.. Walking towards me, Slowly. About three seconds later, I saw it’s horn.. It sped up a bit. Then I saw another horn, slightly to the left of the first.. The second horn broke on my door frame. Then I saw it’s glowing orange eyes. And it’s teeth.. They were so much longer than they should be.. When it entered my room, It stood up.. Then It lunged at me! I barely rolled out of the way. It hit it’s head on my wall. As it did, It shrieked! It hurt my ears a lot! It went for me again, and I dogged. After that, I ran towards my closet, and grabbed a Jump rope, a Baseball bat, and Piece of metal. Then I acted like I was going to run out the door, Then when it went through the door, I closed and locked. “ Phew.” I said. “I know That it won’t hold it off forever.” I’ll  have to leave through the window.” Then I used the jump rope to climb down. “Oh shoot!” I said. “I completely forgot about Charlie!” As I rushed back in, I heard the monster trying to get into my room. Knowing it would go after me if I disturbed it, I walked as quietly as possible. I went over to Charlie’s door. “Charlie!” I whispered. “Get what you need and Get out through the window!”

“Don’t respond or it will come!” I whispered. “Just, Please hurry!” I heard a loud BANG! Knowing that the Monster broke down the door, I quietly but Quickly rushed outside to go to my sister’s window. I waited a bit then I heard it open. Then Charlie stuck her head out of the window. “Drop your things down, Then jump. I promise I’ll catch you!” “OK” She whispered. Then she dropped her things down, I heard knocking from what seemed like her bedroom door. ‘DON'T ANSWER IT!’’ I yell. Then I hear louder knocking. And Louder. Eventually I heard A loud BOOM! “Just jump down!” I say. Then she Almost jumps, But something stops her. “LET GO OF ME!” Charlie says. I throw the piece of metal and she falls then I catch her. “Did I hit it?” I ask her. “Yes.. Yes you did..” She said. “But It really got my leg good, It’ll be a bit hard to walk..” She said. “Well we should probably go find Jack. He might know what to do.” I say. I Don’t think I will be able to. She says. “Is your leg really that bad?” I ask. “If so, you could probably ride on my back Until we get there.” I suggest. “Sure I guess..” She says. As we made our way to Jack’s house I felt we were being followed.. I turned around and I saw Unicorn like thing.. I studied it for a little bit.. And it looked normal. I slowly backed away from it.. It started to walk towards me and quickly started into a run. It tried to ram into me but I dogged it just in time. I took out my Jump rope and picked up two rocks. I tied the rocks to the rope, and threw it at the Unicorn’s legs when It dashed at me again. It got the Unicorn’s legs tied up and Immobilised it. I took out my Bat and I was about to Hit It when Charlie said. ‘Wait!” “Didn’t you see it was trying to kill us Charlie?” I said. “I think it’s just hungry.” She said. “I have a carrot. We could feed it.” She said. “How do you know it’ll want it?! I ask. “Well Didn’t before You call it a Horned Horse?” She Asks. “And also, Horses love carrots!” She exclaims. “Fine.” I say. But If that doesn’t work I’m taking it down.”
