Ch.5 High school sweethearts

We get to the ice cream shop and I sit down while Jeongin gets the ice cream. He comes back smiling happily while he hands me mine. Rainbow sherbet. He remembered. I smile lightly and start to eat my ice cream. I look out the window and notice high schoolers walking around. Brings me back to the old times when me and Jeongin dated. "Reminds you of us, huh?" Jeongin interrupts my thinking as I look back over at him. I nod my head and look down at my ice cream. "We did have a lot of fun together. Causing mischief and always being together no matter what." He laughs at the last part and I make eye contact with him. "Until you moved away that is.." He looks away and eats his ice cream. I then try to steal some of his ice cream. "Yah! you have your own!" "But I want some of yourssss. It looks so goodd!" I successfully get some of his ice cream and he pouts. I playfully smack his shoulder and laugh. It goes silent for a while until I break the silence. "Remember the day you confessed to me?" He looks over at me and laughs lightly. "How could I forget?"

Flashback~

Its a regular day at school or so I thought. I arrived at school like normal and my bestie Ryujin comes up to me. "yah, did you hear that Yang Jeongin likes someone??" She asks me and I look at her and shake my head no. "Isn't he that trainee under jype??" "yes that's him duh" I sigh and look away. "What? What's wrong? I thought you guys sat next to each other?" I raise my eyebrow at her, glaring at her. "I haven't even talked to him. He's so popular with girls drooling over him and his best friend Hyunjin always bothering me." She sips her milk and starts thinking. I look at her waiting for her to tell me what's on her mind. She takes out the straw and smiles at me. "What if he likes you. I mean that would explain why his bestie is always bothering you" I scoff at her comment.

"No way. Like i said, we haven't uttered a single word to eachother." She frowns and starts talking about something else. We arrive at her classroom and she hugs me then goes in. I walk in the hallway on my way to class when I hear a familar loud voice screaming. "loveyyyyyy" I hear Hyunjin yelling at me. I turn around and see this weirdo jumping around with pigtails on. "its cuteee righttt?" he asks cheerful as always. "mm" I reply and he frowns. "why are you always such a buzz kill??" He says pinching my cheek and me protesting immediately.

"Yah, Hyunjin~ah. Leave her alone." Jeongin says from a while away. He has a serious look and starts walking over. Hyunjin frowns and lets go sadly. Jeongin comes and walks beside me. "sorry about him. He doesn't realy understand what BOUNDARIES are." he says scolding Hyunjin. Hyunjin bows and looks down. "No no, its okay. I'm quite used to it." I say glaring at Hyunjin. Hyunjin laughs slightly and looks away. Jeongin laughs at my comment. He takes out his drink from his pocket and I notice it's my favorite drink. banana milk. yummmmmm. He notices me eyeing it and hands it to me, "here you can have it." I look up at him and try to hand it back to him. "no, no way, you bought it" He smiles at me. "Its okay, you must like these..." I smile happily and immediately poke the straw in it. I start drinking in it and jump in excitement. "sooo good" I say giggling. He laughs at my reaction and we reach our classroom. We go to our seats and I finish the drink. The class starts and I write down a note for Jeongin. I secretly put it on his desk without our teacher noticing.

Jeongin's pov

Love throws a piece of paper on my desk and I quickly grab it. I secretly look at it while the teacher isn't looking.
'thank you so much for the drink. They're my favorite :)'
she wrote in her almost perfect hand writing. cute. I put the note in the pocket of my pants and look up at her. She's busy writing in her notebook and doesn't notice me looking at her. I've always tried to talk to her but always been too nervous to approach her. I've liked her for a while and hope she doesn't notice how much I look at her during class. I hope she didn't catch on from how much Hyunjin has been messing with her. I swear I should've never told him and the whole school knows I like someone. I noticed from her at lunch that she always gets excited when her friend gives her banana milk. So, i brought it today to give it to her. But not like this.. I wanted to confess to her. Hyunjin knows so, thats why he was messing with her earlier. I should ask her to come with me at lunch.
