Having used his friend's arrival as a distraction, he bolted through the forest as fast as he could with his teleporting, carrying the girl apparently named Blake along with him. He had no clue what was going on with her and the purple one, but he knew that somehow bringing her with him was safer for her than just leaving her there.

And so since both of them needed to get as far away from that group as possible, he just kept blipping forward.

He blipped.

And blipped.

And blipped.

On and on and on, even through the earthquake that started up again. He just kept going until he was well on the verge of blacking out. And by then, over an hour had passed as he'd relied on quite a bit of adrenaline to keep him going. It was safe to say he'd made pretty good distance, so he finally stopped moving and practically dropped Blake into the dirt as he stumbled over into a tree.

Both of them grunted in pain from the abrupt stop, looking at each other slowly to see what the other would do. And unfortunately, Blake was shakily reaching for her gun-sword-thing.

Mix sighed, as he knew neither of them wanted to, or even could fight each other right now. Mix was too tired and Blake was far too distraught over whatever had transpired back there with the purple girl.

Mix: y'know, if we're both just trying to get away from people, then this is gonna a waste of time for both of us..

She looked away for a second, as if she finally really listened to something he said.

"... You're not wrong."

Mix: That's the first time someone's ever told me that.

[Achievement get: First time for everything]

"Not surprising."

[Achievement revoked]

It was, however, surprising to Mix that she was suddenly willing to listen to reason. Maybe she'd done some thinking while he was doing all that teleporting.

Mix: I- ... Anyway. If you'd stop trying to kill me for a minute, can I ask what you're running from? Or who, if someone tried to shoot you? Someone looking to kill a specific U.A. student seems.. strange. Actually It's not that out of the ordinary I guess, but still. And that's not even mentioning the crazy girl who said she was your sister.

He could at least tell that those were two different people she was running from. The purple psycho didn't seem like a guns kinda girl.

"I'm not really a student there.. I was only there for about two weeks so I could try to blend in somewhere."

Mix: Blend in? So.. you're trying to hide from those people?"

"Yeah. And they're gonna keep looking for me. What about you? Why are you running."

Mix: Because.. Because I'm dangerous.

"Dangerous?"

Mix: If anybody gets too close I might hurt them, and my friends won't stay away. So I'm running.

"Am I safe near you?"

Mix: Not really. But I haven't electrocuted you yet, so we're good so far I guess.

"... Noted."

Mix: Yeah.. Oh, I'm Mix by the way.

"Blake."

Mix: Well, nice to meet you, Blake. Thanks for, you know, not shooting at me anymore.

Blake: You're welcome.

Blake still seemed a little shook about everything, but she was able to at least put away her weapons and get to her feet. Which was better than Mix could do as he tiredly leaned on a tree for balance.

Blake: Now then.. I guess we share more details?

Mix: That'd help the confusion, yeah. For both of us I'm sure.

Blake: I'm sure it will. And this should help you're other issue.

She went to offer Mix a hand at standing, but he immediately shifted back to avoid her. She looked confused as Mix was silently waiting for EM to saying something or just straight out try to hurt Blake.. but he stayed quiet. It was starting to seem like the more exhausted Mix was, the less EM made his presence known. Which Mix was just about as grateful for as he was to Blake as he nodded to her and took her hand.

Propping Mix against her should, Blake help him start walking, as they both knew the people following them wouldn't just stop looking because they'd gotten away. They'd need to cover far more ground. And so, they walked and talked.

Blake about Project Predator, which again we're not recaping because could you imagine if I wrote that three times in this story?? And about how she was constantly considered for termination by the project because of her fear of killing. She also talked about her psycho sister Yuuki, and how the one who tried to shoot her at U.A. was Botan, the girl who had shown up along with Tina and uncle. Which lead into Mix's turn to explain things.

Which took.. so, so much longer. How exactly do you even begin to break down the last book and a half of stuff to someone while walking through a forest on the brink of collapse?

Regardless, he got most of the information across and Blake surprisingly believed it, since her story wasn't exactly easy to believe either and Mix didn't question it.

Blake: So.. there's a demon lord in your head.

Mix: Something like that.. I don't really know to be honest with you.

Blake: That's fair, I guess.. I wouldn't know what was going on either if I were you.

Mix: Heh.. no one would. It's one hell of a story.

Blake: Both of our are. And clearly whatever's happening next we're slightly out of the loop on..

Mix: Yeah.. Botan was with my friends, meaning something's definitely happened there. And you said an older Tina is her mom?

Blake: Was. But yes.

Mix: Wow.. that's weird to think about.

Blake: That's weird to think about?

Mix couldn't help but laugh a little.

Mix: Yeah, fair point.

Mix looked up at the sky through the tree line as they kept slowly making their way deeper into the forest. It looked like the sun was just about to start setting.

Mix: Hey.. maybe we should take a rest.

Blake: I dunno.. We can't really afford to stop moving..

Mix: I know, but can we afford to collapse instead?

Blake: ...I guess not.

They stopped their advance as Blake helped Mix sit and lean back against a tree while she sat next to him.

Blake: How long do you wanna stop here for?

Mix: Honestly? I feel like I could sleep for a week.

Blake: Same, but how does an hour sound?

The look of disappointment on Mix's face spoke volumes.

Mix: ...Yeah that'll do.
