"Dear diary,
I desperately wanted it to be you, until I realised you didn't want it to be me. But, in the end I realized that I was holding on to two ends of the same rope, never once being connected to you. So, I finally let go. However, we'll be forever and always, even if you're not mine, remember that Han Jisung." Y/N wrote, tears falling down her cheeks like waterfalls, staining the notebook.
Why couldn't he be mine? We were together, forever and always, from start to finish. We were the perfect couple, the fairytale lovers. Perhaps he was my once upon a time but he wasn't my happily ever after. But with all the maybes that exist, I only hoped that maybe—just maybe—we could've been together in some other life.
Then again, how could you be the end to my story, if yours never began?
Han POV
"Chan, I don't think you understand. I couldn't, as much as I wanted to. She wanted it to be me, but I couldn't, I didn't want her. She thought she was connected to me, but she was holding both ends of her own rope, we were never connected. She finally let go. But we'll be forever and always, even if I'm not her, I'll make sure she remembers that. Y/N L/N." Han texted at 3 in the morning, needing to vent out his feelings. Without realising it, Han began to cry.
