The sun was just beginning to rise over the horizon, there was a purple haze outside. He felt like he'd been out here for hours; he couldn't remember how long it had been since he'd come this way last. He had to muster up all of his courage and stand before the apartment of his crush, Hide. He didn't want to show up like a creep, but he also wasn't going to sit here by the door forever. With his head held high, he walked into the building. He knew the layout of this apartment pretty well already, so he didn't have any trouble finding the correct room. It was just a short walk from the front doors down a hallway, and finally to a door that was slightly cracked open with a piece of tape on it.
His eyes scanned around the door frame, looking for Hide. He found her sitting on the couch, back facing the room. She looked to be asleep, or at least pretending to be because her face was buried in a pillow. He took a deep breath as she shifted slightly. Her hair was down and falling gently across one shoulder. His hand reached up slowly and placed itself on her arm, lightly running it up and down her skin. She jumped slightly and sat up suddenly, looking toward him, then immediately dropping her gaze to stare at the ground.
"Heeeey, you okay?" he said quietly. He wanted to say more, but he felt awkward, he felt like an asshole.
She looked up at him, teary eyed. "Yeah," she replied, "I'm fine. Just..." she trailed off. The tears fell from her cheeks and splattered against the ground below. She let out a small cry, which made the atmosphere feel even worse.
He moved forward, taking a seat next to her. "It's okay," he said quietly. He wrapped his arm around her waist, resting his chin on top of her head. "You can tell me if something's wrong." He could feel her body shaking as she began to cry again. He rubbed her back slowly as he planted a kiss on her lips. They stayed like that for what felt like forever, until finally, they were both able to calm down. After a few minutes they stood and walked over to her bed.
After laying down beside each other, they sat there, kissing and feeling eachother up. It was still early morning, and neither of them really had anything scheduled. Hide broke away first, moving closer towards Jack's face. She leaned up, placing kisses along the underside of his jaw. She trailed down his neck, leaving soft kisses along his collarbone. His hands ran through her hair. Their legs intertwined beneath them. They kissed lazily and softly, enjoying every moment together. Neither seemed to want to break apart yet. This was the most perfect time to do anything they wanted to.
Eventually, when their lips parted for air once more, Hide asked, "Are you going to be okay?"
Jack paused and smirked. "As long as I'm with you.."
