Yep. It seemed cute okay?

Jack and Hide were the last of the hotel entities that were alive. The only reason was most likely because of their love for each other and that they were the only closet entities. However, the fact still remained, they had been in love for almost forty years and Jack knew how hard it must be for Hide to watch him fade away before her eyes.
It's not that Jack wanted to die but he felt guilty knowing that Hide would have to go on without him.

He lay in Hide's arms, in that very closet they met in, just remembering all the times they spent with each other. How he could spend hours just staring at Hide's beautiful face and tracing his hand over her cheek. Or how Hide always made sure to check in on him when she went on her adventures, whether she was with friends or just by herself. Laughing; Crying; Fucking..

Jack remembered everything. Every single moment they spent together. He could even remember every little detail.

Hide had gotten pregnant shortly after meeting Jack, who was the only person that understood her better than anyone else. It was a weird story..

His dick kinda just.. fell into her. It was completely unexpected but at the same time not. It happened so fast, she had no idea what was going on until it was too late.
They were both so excited! They were in love; so happy about this child, they were ready for whatever life threw at them..

Except nothing ever did.

Hide had a miscarriage when she was seven months pregnant. Her father was so mad at Jack, she wasn't allowed to see him anymore. Jack cried himself to sleep everyday, never being able to tell Hide he loved her enough.
Jack never forgave himself for that. Not until Hide told him. Not until Hide said the exact words to him.

They never managed to have children. Hide was diagnosed with Postpartum depression shortly afterwards, something Jack had always worried about but never voiced.

Jack was always walking in on Hide trying to do the unthinkable. Wrist slitting, hanging, drowning herself in pills. Sometimes, Jack didn't even know if she was alive.

But Jack always got there in time. He held her, kissed her forehead as tears streamed down her face while she sobbed in his arms. She always said it was okay, she wasn't alone.
And Jack believed her.

Now, Hide was the one holding him. But unlike Jack, she couldn't save him. There was nothing she could do.

Jack had caught the disease that had wiped out everyone else. It was incurable and fatal.

Jack stated into Hide's eyes. His vision became blurry and Hide looked away. "I'm sorry... I shouldn't have said anything. Just please don't leave me." Hide said tearfully.
"Please stay with me? Please?" Hide asked softly.

Jack shook his head gently. "You should get some rest..." He muttered quietly.

"No... please don't leave me. Please..." Hide sobbed. Her hands found his face and gripped tight.

"Don't make me say goodbye. Don't go, Jack..."

"It's too late, Hide. I love you.. but this can't be prevented." Jack replied solemnly. His hand slowly began to drift up toward her neck but Hide's hand quickly grabbed him.

"Don't. Don't leave. Please, I'm begging you." Hide pleaded weakly. Jack tried to pull back but it was useless.

Jack was so close now. He could feel Hide's breath tickling his skin. It was like breathing fire from a dragon. His lungs filled with burning ash and smoke.

Then there was silence. Hide laid limp against his chest. She had lost him. Forever.
Hide stared down at Jack, watching as his chest stopped rising and falling.
